It would be just so easy right now to really lay the smack down, but I just can't bring myself to it. What is up with the Rockets? I know you are missing Steve, but this is getting out of hand. This team should still be able to play better than this. After all the smack in the off season hearing how much better the Rockets are over the Kings without Webber, this is just wild. I thought a few weeks ago you guys would make the playoffs, I'm really starting to doubt that now.. Good luck, and I hope they pull it together.
Praise God it's still early in this long season. While my 59-23 prediction would be unlikely, I still believe we can make the playoffs (47 wins anyone?). We've now hit the bottom, and we will bounce back! Watch out, MJ!!! An Optimistic Rockets Fan
They have a decent record...if they were in the east, but this looks like deja vu. Kenny Thomas has proven to be taller than whatever Kelvin Cato is listed. It's time for pick and roll pet plays for Glen Rice... who cares if it wont work in later on. Is Steve Francis gonna play later on? I think Glen Rice can still shoot, but not the way you think. Lakers, Knicks, and Rockets, what do they all have in common? Decent perimeter shooters and excellent isolation players. Rice didn't average 28 ppg in Charlotte because he knows how to post up. We need to give that guy some Reggie Miller plays and see if he's the real deal. Age is a factor, but the shooting touch shouldn't be lost completely. Ask those loser guards from Utah, ask Reggie Miller, ask Matt Bullard...
SandBill, I think its really very simple. The damn shots are just not falling. Guys who Rudy thought would be reliable shooters have been consistentley unreliable. Out of the Rockets eleven losses only four have been blowouts, while the other 7 went down to the last minute. But the shots have just not fallen and our record indicates that. Glen Rice 39% 3p% 27 Walt Williams 40% Moochie Norris 41% Kevin Willis 42% The above key players shooting percantages pretty much says it all.
Who said the Rockets were better then the Kings?!? People had the Kings as the #2 team behind the Lakers with Bibby and had the Rockets listed between 6 through 8 how is that saying the Rockets are better then the Kings? Besides I would worry about the Lakers because nobody is close to them.
