Does anyone listen to This American Life, the radio show? I listen to it pretty regularly but I have never met another person who does too. I think its a great show. I like to download the podcasts and listen on my ipod. There is also a This American Life TV series on the Showtime channel. Anyway, just wanted to see if people listened to this show cause, as I said, I have never met a single person who's heard the show. And, very few people I have encountered even knows it exists.
I *LOVE* this show. It's fascinating and well-produced. I don't catch it every week, but I try to. When they had the Chicago Public Radio listener fund drive, I donated money during this show, and they premium was a two-disc set from a live performance of This American Life. Some of the programs on there are the funniest I've ever heard -- I'll try to put the mp3s up later this week.
The show about the farmer who had his favorite bull cloned was awesome. I'll try to find that online.
I listen to it every now and then but I find Ira Glass' voice and speaking style really annoying and the always seem to have David Sedaris on who is the epitome if pretension. For NPR shows I will take Cartalk and Prairie Home Companion over this American Life.
