I really think that the third game will determine who win the series. Up to now, I am very proud as a rocket fan in this season. I love everyone's perform in the first game, especially from Yao and Battier. After the second game, I do believe that Rocket can beat Houston. in this series and win the Championship. In the second game, I was only disapponted with Yao's perform. I think this is the worst game for him in the playoff this year. Though Scolar did not play well, but I do love his hustle. Landry played a perfect game and Artest almost did too. Now I hate Kobe too. And I hope that Yao CAN CHANGE his words that Kobe is the best player in the world. JAMES is, but Kobe is just a little more than a dirty player. I think that the third game is really important now for both team. If Rocket will win the third game, we can solid our confidence and win the series definately. Go Rockets.
The referees and NBA Officials decide who win this serie. Kobe shouled have one more T-foul at least in these 2 games. One is his elbow and knee to Shane or the other elbow to Ron. In LA. the referees were trying to control both the 2 games.We win game1 because Shane got his bloody face which is obviousely to see ,so the referees gave up in the game 1.
I think the Rockets need atleast another win in LA. to win the series. A split in Houston (3rd & 4th) is still OK.
If Yao played above average last game, we would win the game. The most important is the 3rd game, we need play tough in our own court. If we win the 3rd game, I can garantee we will not let 4th game away in Houston. Book my words. A split in Houston (3rd & 4th) only means that we will lose the series in 7.
I actually think game 2 was what decided this series. Win and we have close to a lock. Lose and the Lakers have the momentum and confidence.
Too many turnovers, sloppy play cost us those slight score leads we needed to maintain momentum. Our team played really badly tonight. Obviously Lakers played extremely well, and we didn't step up.
I can't see the rockets winning this series if it continue this way for one reason. Kobe. No i'm not sucking up to him, but let's face it, he's the one guy out of both teams who can score when he wants to or create a very high scoring opportunity for his team. These game have been close most of the time, and having someone like Kobe allow his team to pull away every time. Houston may win another game or two playing like they did in game 1, but to win again in LA they need to keep a cushion the whole away, meaning they need to play one of their best games yet.
The calls don't go our way and Game 3's flagrant on Ron is enought to prove to me that our season is over. I'm fine with that. This is was the most exciting Rockets season in 12 years, and I'm proud of our Red Warriors. The way this season has turned out, I don't mind losing to Lakers now. Unless you are a Homer, you knew the Rockets wouldn't wint the title this year. I feel that this season has set us up to be a LEGIT title contender next year. We will be amongst the elite the way that Cavs, LAkers, Magic and Celtics were this year.
I don't know if I'm knee jerking, but we got a long way to climb up. right now its a little after 1AM and I don't know about Yao's injury status...but with him or not...we got alot of work to get done. no. they got a lot of work to get done. no. that 5th seeds got alot of work to g-- 1-2.
We don't have a closer, everybody knows this. We could have used T-MAC vs Kobe. If we lose this series, I'm not ashamed, we just lost to the 2009 champs. If we beat the Lakers, we will be the 2009 Champs.
No, but we just don't have enough fire power to beat them. Great offense will beat great defense esp. keep turning it over and can't hit jack. Even if we make to 7, hard to beat them in LA. Maybe game 1 was a fluke.
Game 2 was the difference maker. Fisher & Kobe pulled cagey veteran moves and disrupted the Rockets mentally. The Rox were cool and collected, but Fish and Kobe changed the temperature on the series and swung momentum the Lakers way.
But if Yao and Artest can play Game 4, I do think that we will win that game on sunday. However, book my words, Lakes will win the series in 6 or 7, no matter what will be happening. If I need to blame someone for Rocket to lose the chance after we win game 1 in Los Angles: I would blame Ref. in Game 2 and blame Rich for letting Brooks to play as a starter in Game 3.
Yup, the series is over and not just because we lost game 3 but because we lost on our home floor, after stealing home court, the fans showing up yet the Rockets looked like they gave up. There's no excuse for what the Rockets did in game 3 and it's already one "what could've been".....
not a mistake at all.. we beat ourselves, the fakers ain't doing nothing to us.. we need to take game 4 for sure.. hopefully they take back that bs flagrant they called on artest
