It is time to realize that there is no way we can compete with the Mavericks and Spurs. We just don't have the players to compete with a Michael Finley or Bruce Bowen. What are we going to do to regain our title as best team in Texas.
That's funny. Bruce Bowen? Who the hell is that? As far as Finley goes, he is a stud but he doesn't match up particularly well against us. The Mavs are my second favorite team, but Finley has problems taking people off the dribble and between Cat, Torres, and TMO we can slow him down.
Oh yeah I forgot.... Bowens!!!!!!!! Man he is an awesome player. Without him Zo wouldn't have been CBA material. Pat Riley should be fired for letting him go.
Personally, I would rather us focus on becoming the best team in the league. Screw Texas. There is no championship for being the best team in Texas.
Its time to realize that this is www.clutchcity.net a web page for houston rockets fans. trolls should ask ZRB to where to be directed next.
This team can compete with Dallas and San Antonio but who cares about being the best team in Texas? I'd rather be one of the best 8 teams in the Western Conference.
Yeah, we can't compete with San Antone or Dallas...so tru...after all, we don't have ANYONE that can match up w/ the great Finley and we just the only team to score more than 90 pts on the Spurs in preseason, beating them twice. I just don't know how we're gonna handle them.
Bowen is the guy who got tired of Cuttino blowing by him so he either tackled Cuttino or stumbled and lost his balance and fell on Cuttino.
Straight up, Raven!! I would say the same thing, Maybe Spurs and Mavs are great team, But I think our young guns are far better than those 2 team. Rockets has a big time depth when you talk about back up players, and not to mention with a new old rocket veteran is on the rosters(WILIS)How can you go wrong.
It is time to realize that there is no way we can get rid of all the trolls in the world. We just don't have the time to waste with a Jockstrap or Garage Man. What are we going to do to rid our site of all these trolls.
Don't forget that the Spurs had their bench playing the 4th quarter both games. Certainly, those were nice wins, but I wouldn't get all cocky about beating them. I think we can give them good games during the regular season, but don't forget that it was still preseason. Just because Griffin did some nice work inside doesn't mean we can suddenly shut down both Duncan and D-Rob. And Antonio Daniels seemed to have his way with Francis, even if the opposite was true at the other end. Let's hope the Rockets can keep this (defensive) intensity going through the regular season.
Yeah, it was just preseason, and those games don't mean all too much (see Jordan's 41)...but that last game was a pretty impressive win. I mean, usually the last game of the preseason represent a test to see if your team is indeed ready for the regular season. By no means, do you want to go in to the game and not try to win cause you want have that extra spark goin into the regualr season. And because the Rockets led a pretty balanced attack and did it against a tough away crowd says something. But, by no means is one or all preseason games indicative of the pressures and intensity of the regular season. But all in all, the Rocks do stack up pretty well against those two teams and have a good chance at beatin them this season.
the rockets handled the mavs pretty well last season...of course, if i remember right, they did so with the help of a center from Nigeria who had a nice little career here before moving north of the border to play for the Toronto Barneys
