    Fellow Clutchfans,

I'm turning 21 in mid-January. I'm not a party type of person, evidenced by the fact that I haven't celebrated my birthday since the 4th grade. But I'm not in Houston very often. In fact, I'll be in Houston in January for four days and may not return until next December. My birthday happens to fall during one of those four days.

Consequently, I'm contemplating throwing a 21st birthday dinner with 30 of my closest friends. I want to keep it simple. The point is to get everyone together again. Everyone will pay for themselves.

Do any of you have suggestions for places that would accommodate us with no complications? I called Yao's Restaurant, and the problem there is they don't split checks and we'd have to sit at 3 different tables. I'd also have to put down a minimum deposit.

Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if they have tables big enough to accommodate you, but Dave and Busters is a great place. Have a nice dinner, play some pool and shuffleboard, watch some sports, have some drinks and play some games. They do have at least 1 or 2 rooms you can rent out, but it doesn't look like you want to throw in any additional costs.

    Pugs

Edit: You could also sign up for this and each receive $10 in free game play. They also have a good deal, you get a nice meal for $15.99 and they throw in a free $10 game card, or an even better deal, pay $23.99 and get a $20 game card.

Is there a game that night? D&B should give everyone plenty to do and you can get pretty drunk in a safe environment.

22 and 23 is about making sure everyone enjoys themselves. 21 is about you and spending the next day hugging the toilet.

Dave and Busters is great if you don't have taste buds. Man, has their food gone to crap or what?

On a serious note, I'd check Bucca Di Beppo. They have family sized portions and it's not all that expensive.

I have to agree with steddinotayto ...

That place is good and should be able to accommodate your party.

It's a strip club now so you can still go there if you wanted.
