I'll leave the dreams of Duncan, Odom, Kandi and a top 3 draft pick to the others to postulate on. Even assuming we get a Stud front court player, our back-ups in my opinion are still dodgy. After reading about reggies performance tonight and looking at the box score, wouldn't Danny Manning JR Reid TRactor Traylor all be fairly handy (and cheap) players to have on the end of the bench. Smeg from the Bench ------------------
smeg, you could probably help the Rockets more than Manning or Reid would. These guys are broken down old men and don't fit into the running game. Traylor on the other hand, while big, is very athletic and would be a nice pick-up. He is still young and Rudy might be able to light a fire under him. Someone mentioned Charles Oakley in another thread, I would love for the Rockets to get him. He hustles, sets picks and is a veteran who knows how to win. ------------------ You can't have everything.Where would you put it?
Bob, if anyone can turn tractor around it would be Ruddy. I really like that Croshere guy aswell, what about the injury prone Henderson from Atlanta. Smeg ------------------
Croshere would be an awesome addition to this team, but can we afford him? Henderson is injury prone, but he is a battler on the boards. Not much of an offensive threat however. ------------------ You can't have everything.Where would you put it?
BobFinn, So the old guys don't fit with the running game, but a 6-8 version of Thomas Hamilton (weight-wise) does? Traylor may still have talent, but I think he might be too expensive of a project. I think Adonal Foyle would be a good 4/5 backup to plug up the middle with his shot blocking and hustle if he can be gotten at a cheap price. I would also like a more offensive minded big man with range on his outside shot as a backup 4/5 to provide a different look. The only guy who I can think of like that would be Jason Collier from the draft. How did San Antonio end up with Samaki Walker? I'd like to have him on the Rockets right now. He would be a good fit. ------------------

The bench is fine. Just switch Devin Gray with the #9 pick and I'd call it an offseason. ------------------ Smeg is something, isn't it [This message has been edited by Achebe (edited May 05, 2000).]
