For the past 2 weeks I haven't been getting much sleep due to NBA news (playoffs and draft updates), I always had my eyes stuck to my phone or laptop checking news. Most nights I would wake up at 3 am and open my laptop to check if there's any new trades. Yeah, I'm addicted as hell to the NBA and I have suffered for it -- my vision in my right eye is now sort of blurred. My left eye is fine but still, I'm kind of depressed now because I always thought I would have good eyesight for a long time. Anyone have this experience of having good vision then later on sort of lose it all of a sudden? How does it feel? Do you guys think this thing is temporary and if I go to coma sleep for a week and rest my eyes, it will be fine again? Holla.
I'll just say that I wear glasses/contacts and I hate that I cannot see when I wake up. Lasik is definitely in the plans. Sorry to hear about your situation. Don't take natural 20/20 for granted.
My eyesight started going downhill in my early 20s. I didn't have computer screens to blame, but rather the tiny lettering on reams and reams of computer printout. I've been wearing glasses for about 30 years. My prescription has essentially stayed the same for the past 15 years or so, but I have had the bifocals added. I tried contacts but they weren't for me. I have a 'steep' cornea which used to be a problem for contact wearers and I have never tried them again. Unfortunately, if you need glasses, you need glasses. My wife wears the contacts that you can keep in all the time, She changes them every two weeks or so and cleans them every few days. Good luck.
Remember the GMs sleep too I think if its past mindnight chances are slim of anything happening..... Resume a normal sleeping pattern and see if that helps
did your vision become blurry acute (i.e. in the last few weeks) or has it been getting worse for a while now? If your vision worsened acutely, especially in only one eye, I would recommend you see an ophthamologist ASAP.
man i thought i made this thread. the same thing is happening to me. just take a break from computer screens and use lubricating eye drops like Refresh Plus.
Thanks. On serious note, if it's bad then go to a Doc asap. People here ask medical related questions too often and hesitate to visit a doctor. We can only judge from a distance and are no pros.
You should go see doctor. Your eyesight should not be changing that fast at your age. You could have diabetes or many other things.
