    if god is all powerful then he would be able to make a rock that was too heavy and too big for him to lift. But if he made a rock that he couldn't lift then he wouldn't be all powerful.

    What if God is the rock? Can god make something that is not a part of God if it comes from God? And what is God standing on when he lifts it? Does God have hands? Does he have to warm-up? Why is it always a rock? Why not a giant potato salad or something?

    Your thinking is flawed... similar to the chicken/egg debate. You're placing an unlimited power into a controlled environment. Considering God created the environment (not for himself, so it doesn't apply to him) and he can also destroy it.

    Now if you want to get into religions theology; God is the Father and Jesus is God instilled in the being of a man. Jesus was bound by all the limitations of mankind, so therefore, there are plenty of rocks he could not pick up with his humane body.

    Considering Jesus is God, then he should be able to pick up any rock or do just about anything.
