    Hola!

So I'm now in Riyadh on a work assignment for the next few years. The place is pretty nice so far ... but haven't really found that much to do in terms of relaxing, or seeing cool places.

I've been to the high profile places, but was hoping someone who's spent sometime here (*ahem* Uprising *ahem*) can perhaps share some thoughts?

Going to Dubai on the weekends is not an option, since this is a single entry, 3 month visa at a time.

    Merci!

Haven't been to Riyadh in a number of years.

Do you smoke Shiisha? There are a number of good shiisha cafes in the area.

I am more knowledgable on cities on the east. (Dhahran, Khobar, Dammam....etc.)

I will hit my friend with a few questions for ya, I know he frequented Riyadh.

Too bad your visa is a single entry one. I would have recomended Bahrain for a weekend.

just re-read your post....next few years eh? I was writting expecting an assignment over a few months/weeks.

Considering you are goign to be there for a while, it kind of sucks that they are only giving you single entry visas.

for Trips, I would recomend a trip to Yanbu (beaches) etc.

To stay sane in Saudi, we frequent the beach etc.

What kinds of hobbies are you into? That would help to clarify what might be in your interests.

I wish I was going back to Saudi this summer, but doesn't seem like it's going to happen.

Investigate the seedy underworld of terrorist networks funded by the elite class and find OBL.

Believe me, he ain't in Saudi.

The Royal Family knows the real purpose of the terrorists in Saudi. They want to make the economy unstable, and hopefully get the Royal Family over thrown....soooo the Gov. is doing everything it can to rid it's country of Al Qaida. There are always shootings killing the terrorists (Police Crack downs) but they don't make the International news.

Ofcourse, I am not saying that there isn't terrorism there....but that's really not likely to be a place for OBL.

EDIT: Just re-read your post...and realized you could have meant interogate the elite members so you know where OBL is....(Pakistan etc.)
