Post things that you collect or have collected in the past as a hobby. Dorky stuff to cool stuff, everything in between and things that fall into both categories. I'll start: Currently: I'm putting together a collection of vintage, original Star Wars posters for the wall. Past: Sports cards, Starting Lineups and Comics.
I collect INTERNETS conquests, science enemies, and dismayed (okay, some would say dissatisfied) exes.
Old action figures. Mainly original Star Wars. I also dig the McFarlane stuff and stuff like it. I've got this righteous figure of Ozzy, complete with headless bats and an Eddie of Iron Maiden fame, Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock, a full KISS set with a stage and everything, and a few others. Yep: I'm a dork.
Ive started collecting Australian Rugby League club badges. Ive posted a few of the one I have on my web site, I have double the amount now, I need to post them! Anyway these are the pictures I have up: http://leaguefreak.rlfans.com/photogallery.php?album=19
I collect trash bags for use in throwing away random trinkets that my roommates collect. I can't stand having excess junk around for some reason, I guess because it means excess cleaning.
Random computer parts. I may even have a 5 1/4 floppy somewhere. More of a housekeeping issue, as it's not exactly something to show off to guests.
I collect ticket stubbs for all the rockets games that i have been to. theyre stuck right next to my monitor. I got about 12. lost a few. ive only been collecting for 2 years. most of them are playoff tix.
I used to collect Pokemon cards when I was in 2nd grade but now Ive grown up and Im collecting Harry Potter Cards But seriously, I collect movie ticket stubs that Ive watched
Here are some of my recent additions to my posters: <a href="http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/Supermac34/?action=view¤t=gg2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/Supermac34/gg2.jpg" border="0" alt="Star Wars Style D"></a> <a href="http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/Supermac34/?action=view¤t=empireaus.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/Supermac34/empireaus.jpg" border="0" alt="Ohrai Empire Australia"></a> <a href="http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/Supermac34/?action=view¤t=starwarsepisode6r.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b208/Supermac34/starwarsepisode6r.jpg" border="0" alt="Jedi British Quad"></a>
HA! No, my wife fully supports my nerdiness. She gets shoes and purses, I get posters. Works pretty well.
I also collect pins. I've got this old jean jacket full of 'em. I don't wear the jacket at all, and haven't for many years....but I still pick up pins for it. The raunchier and/or more controversial the better. The most recent additions are a U. of SoCal pin (my cousin just graduated from there. Hook 'em.) and the Jeff Bagwell pin they gave away when they retired his number last season. The damn jacket is pretty much unwearable with all the pins (and patches) on it.
Girly: Disney Snowglobes Sporty: Old UK basketball programs Random: Television series cards. I have the Alias ones, the Heroes ones, Scarecrow and Mrs King ones (not official) and some Charlie's Angels cards that I think were promos for the second season... there are a few others but those are the largest collections
