Here are some quotes that pro Yao Ming fans made before the season started. Yao Ming will average 18pts 14rebs and 3blks Yao Ming will be the rookie of the year, Yao Ming would be the best player on the Rockets squad, Yao will dominate Shaq. The offense should go thru Yao, Yao will lead the league in block shots, and my favorite of all comparing Yao to Wilt. Look I like Yao but, I'm a Rocket's fan . When you make statements like the ones posted above your not a team fan your a player fan, and you don't give a crap about if the Rocket's win or not, only if Ming does well.

So all of the posters who want Francis to score 30 ppg and be the league MVP are Francis fans and not Rockets fans?

It's only 4 games into the season, try giving Ming sometime, not that I think he'd put up those numbers, but he will have respectable numbers.

I still think Ming will avg double digits (or close to, at least 8) in PPG before the seasons done.

Right now, one of Ming's biggest problems is that he needs the ball to be effective. He's not doing enough of the little, off-the-ball things consistently right now, like crashing the offensive glass, moving well without the ball (Don't laugh ;) ), sealing his man off from giving defensive support when the Gs drive. Its a problem most rookies have.

But you should see that he has a nice feel for the game, which leads one to believe that its just a matter of him finding a comfort zone so that he can show more of his ability.

Taking this broken record off the turntable.

Maybe by next year but he will need more seasoning.

That is still a possibility with a good 2nd half by Ming and the Rockets.

He very well might be , over the long haul.

Not now...but maybe in the future.

    Then again, who does?

Well he certainly needs more touches...

A distinct possibility in the future but maybe not this year.

I personally never heard this comparison and it is a silly comparison. Ming will be a phenomenal player but Wilt was from a another planet!!

I think it is possible to be a Rockets fan AND be a fan of the players.

I liked Dream whether he played with the Rockets or not but I never stopped being a Rockets fan

The only problem i have with Ming is he just looks too timid out there. Not aggressive enough just one time i want to see him knock somebody on their butt.

That was a terrible blanket statement. People can hope Yao Ming will do really well and help the Rockets win. It's possible. Please re-read your thread. It sounded fairly stupid, but I think I can figure out what you were trying to say, it just needs to be written differently.
