According to mr. ramsay steve is her to say:)

Juan (Puerto Rico): I think they should trade Francis this off-season and get a true point guard thats good at feeding the post and a tall and athletic 2-guard and then sorround yourself with role players like Cato to do the dirty work a pesky defender like Dugh Christie and 3 spot up 3 pount shooters. Ohh wait take a look at the San Antonio Blue print and my pont is made.

Dr. Jack Ramsay: (4:09 PM ET ) I assume you're talking about the Rockets...Francis played his best ball against the Lakes. He scored, set up the post, got his teammates involved. It was the best he's played as a point. They'll keep him and try to add some quality to their overall roster...

I don't think SF will be traded. Yao, SF, Mobley, Cato, and JJ will be here next year. So I'm thinking the Rockets will trade MO with the MLE and some extras for a PF and pick up a free agent point.

Ok, so MJ is gone. What's Spoon's contract like? How long is it?

    Is Padgett a free agent?

yeah, padge is a fa. i really see us looking to move Mo and the TE for a starting forward (PF or Rashard/Marion type). with Cato, i thought he was gone but JVG was really complimentary of Cato at the end of the year.

Well, hopefully atleast Cat and Mo get traded. I won't mind Francis staying, if Cat and Mo leave. A Cat and Francis backcourt is just so damn redundant. Except Cat can play D and Francis gets more assists and rebounds, and isn't saying much since his turnover average is half of his assists and it really isn't at all required for a PG to be hitting the boards.

Am I the only one who sees that Francis only plays his best against the good teams and, uh, slacks off against sucky teams, and so we lose those games, etc etc ad infinitum? Of course he played well against the Fakers. In the regular season, how many times did he get prison-raped by the likes of Luke Ridnour?

If Francis becomes clutch in the playoffs like Mr. big-game Robert Horry (with the exception of last year against the Spurs), I'll put up with him loafing through the regular season.

"Dr" Jack's opinions mean about as much as the opinions littered across this board.

And trying to infer something insightful from one of his diatribes is like taking Yetti seriously.

That team will never make it past the second round. You need to have smart players in order to win in the NBA, not just guys who play hard. Of those five players mentioned, three do not even come close to filling that bill.

Well, if Dr. Jack says it, that seals it. We'll miss you Steve.
