Man Says He Was Injured Running From Williams' Dog

    .c The Associated Press

TRENTON, N.J. (March 15) -- Former NBA star Jayson Williams, charged in the fatal shooting of a limousine driver at his estate last month, has another legal problem.

A man who was installing a heating and cooling unit at Williams' home last year claims he fell and injured his wrist while trying to escape from an attacking Rottweiler.

Michael Colantuono, 26, of Hillsborough, filed a civil lawsuit this week against Williams, claimed by Colantuono to be the dog's owner.

Colantuono says in the suit that the attack occurred on last March 21. When he tried to run away from the dog, Colantuono said he tripped over a co-worker running with him and landed on his right wrist.

Dean Anglin, Colantuono's lawyer, said Thursday his client had surgery on the wrist and is still being treated for de Quervain's syndrome, an inflammation of the tissue on the thumb side of the wrist.

Anglin said Colantuono would not comment on the suit, and Williams could not be reached for comment. A message left for his agent, Sal DiFazio, on Friday was not immediately returned. Joseph Hayden, the lawyer representing Williams in the shooting death case, said he had not heard about the lawsuit and could not comment
