What the Hell is going on???!!!??

No Respect! Though I don't believe it for a second I can understand critics saying Shaquille should be stated in the same sentence as dream because he is in a big market, has a ring and is close to unstoppable at times. But Malone??? This article while not directly discrediting Hakeem does so by not mentioning his name.
I feel Karl Malone is an incredible physical specimen. Missing only 6 games in his career is completely amazing. Yet durability and greatness are two different walks in the park. The fact that every year was Utah's year when the Rockets steamrolled over them, and that this supposed top ten player of all time choked free throws during his best opportunity ever to win a ring.
I completely disagree with his best of all time list. Where is Wilt? I think wilt is the only center that can hold a candle to Hakeem in his prime. Hakeem was a better defensive center than Wilt, a better offensive center than Russell and was much better overall player than both. Wilt could be considered a better passer and leaper though. Seeing how Russell played on a latter day All Star team that dwarf's even todays Portland, i feel his worth is overemphasized. Even Bird played with McHale, who Barkley stated as the best Power Forward he ever played against and Robert parish. Meanwhile Magic had Kareem and James Worthy! Who did Houston have during Hakeem's prime years? One year with Sampson and they reached the Finals!
Then no complementary player for almost 10 years!! Then in 95 he got Drexler when he was already over his prime and Barkley in the same scenario. I can understand the comparisons with the latter individuals, but c'mon people give the Dream his respect. Karl Malone!!!!!! He should never be stated in the same sentence as Hakeem...like I stated earlier Durablity and Greatness are different subjects all together.

Then Again i've been and will continue to be arguing this for years and years to come.

Ask the Greats and the people he played against not the media. Ask Jordan if he could have played with any center ever who it would have been....Hakeem...Ask Shaq who the best center ever is....Hakeem....ask Bill Russell who he would least like to face...Hakeem. Now the players get it.....Why Can't the Media and give Hakeem his due.

If its because he has a strong accent, never represented overpriced shoes so children wouldnt waste money and steal for something so materialistic, or because he didn't kiss the media's a$$ every chance he could.

Well we all know, the players know...and thats what counts!

I saw that url and for a second thought it was "Mailman leaving his tampon". And I thought, damn he's gonna need that thing if he keeps crying like a woman.

I have a strange feeling that Malone will have a career ending injury somewhere between this season and next year's. And just like the loser that he is he'll retire without any accomplishments. But he'll always have a shoulder to cry on...John Stockton. Ohh how sweet!!

Good call Aelliot...I would imagine in my rage I missed a good amount of points in that article. Thanks...but still the underlying meaning of what i'm saying is still completely true!

By the way, when Jordan was asked who he would want on his all time team, at center, he said he'd want Dream over Chamberlain or anyone else.

Uhh...you might want to re-read his list.

"To start off, The Mailman has no shot at making my top 5. I'll take, in no particular order (even though we know Michael Jordan is the best), Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell and Chamberlain. "
