I was watching this commercial on TV for Dry-Eye Syndrome. You may not know you even have it. This is the inability to produce tears. They had some paid-actor saying that since she tried this new drug she is happy that she has now producing tears. ROTFL Of course there are side-effects...most common is a burning sensation. I will take dry eyes over burning eyes anyday of the week, thank you! Any other ridiculous drug ads...post them here.
I'm going to try to find a spoof drug ad that was played last night at the Spike and Mike Twisted Animation Festival, it was freaking hilarious. EDIT: Here it is: http://www.nickgibbons.com/tvzolaphan.html
I agree with you in general, but the dry eyes thing made me think about that Simpson't ep where Homer gets laser eye surgery and afterwards, he doesn't take the drops and his eyes get all crusty (you hear this crunchy sound as the crust forms). That is one of the grossest things I've ever seen. I've seen some terrible stuff thanks to the internet, but that grossed me out because it made me think about what it would be like if that was real. I still shiver just thinking about that.

Estelle: Where have you been?!! You were supposed to fix the stove! I've been waiting for hours! Frank: I fell on some Fusilli. Estelle: Fusilli? Frank: You know, the corkscrew pasta. It was a Fusilli Jerry. It got stuck in me. Had to go to the proctologist. Estelle: The proctologist? Are you okay? Frank: Yeah. Estelle: Oh, I was so worried. [grabs a couple of tissues from the box] George: Ma, don't cry! Estelle: Oh, I can't help it! George: Ma, your eyes! Estelle: Oh!
I like the Lunesta "glowstick butterfly on ecstacy" commercial. Just when you're about to go to sleep, the glowstick butterfly comes in through your window, pumping techno music all the way. "You're never going to sleep now, you b*stard! Glowstick butterfly will make sure of it!"
Other side effects may include (but are not limited to) itching, vertigo, tingling in extremities, loss of balance or coordination, slurred speech, temporary blindness, profuse sweating, heart palpitations, uncontrollable flatulation, and rectal bleeding.
