ERCOT and others recommend it at 78 in the summer. I call total bulls**t on that.

Yes, mine is programmable when I'm not home and all that, but what is your comfy chilling in the house/sleeping temp?

Now that the wife and kids are back in school, I actually turn OFF my AC from about 6am until 3pm or so.

My house is well-insulated and I have lots of trees, so it will stay relatively cool all day long while I'm here by myself.

Of course I crank it down to 68 at night because we all like it nice and cold when we sleep.

74-75 with fan is optimum comfort in the summer. In the winter it's 68 or so.

In case yall wanted to know.

    At night it’s at 68
Day time I set it on 77

My house stays cool enough in the morning so that the air doesn’t come on until around 1:00pm. It then runs for most of the rest of the day. I feel like my unit is a little small for my house. I also probably need to put some exhaust fans in the attic, but I’m not sure how effective they really are. The temperature is insanely hot in the attic during the summer months.

72-74 during the day, 68 before bed. I'll turn the house into an icebox if they start sending out power outage warnings.

I keep mine at 78 from around 8am - 7pm. I'll use ceiling fans as necessary. Then drop it to 76 until around midnight. Then drop it 74 (with a ceiling fan on) until 7am.

If I'm at a hotel, I drop it down to 66-68 all the time. lol.

Dude, it's weird when we lay down and forget to turn the fan on. We look at each other and..."why's it so ****ing quiet in here?"

    Love the white noise.

74 day, 69 night. Would be lower if I thought my AC and wife could handle it. Also have fan on my face. Can't sleep without it, I travel with a little USB fan.

I gave control of my smart thermostat to my power provider for a lower rate. We'll see how that shakes out. My office faces NW and gets warm in the afternoon.

    Oh yeah, **** ERCOT

Try getting one of these. Makes a huge difference in our upstairs hallway.

low 70s summer, high 60s winter.

I'd literally like to move to Antartica. Or that place at the top of Norway where the Sun doesn't shine for a month.
