First of all I want to say that I don't have a problem with ROCKETGUY or his site at all. Rumors and misrepresentation of facts is what keeps the pot stirring. For example, if I said I was engaged in a little trois-action with two beautiful women, well, all you can say is wow!! I would've never guessed you do something sao freaky. ( Of course, I'd have to make sure that the girls are both healthy and disease free. Don't want to take that kind of risk! )

If I say to someone, 'I'm so glad you want to be here, I'd miss you' well, that could be a misrepresentaion I guess.

Or, if I said, 'I'm tired of playing 42, let's play pick 'em instead' well, that could be a fact even if you didn't want to play 42 either! But it doesn't matter, everyone loves to play 42 even though the dealer wants to play another game!

Or, let's see, what if I said, 'If you want to succeed in life, if you want to move up the ladder, you've got to do the little things. You've got to make things happen, you've got to pick your battles', that could be a fact or just advice.

You see, it's all up in the air! A trois equipes is staring at us, we all want to move up the corporate ladder, we love having people come over and we love it when our friends stay to meet them, even though our BEST friend is not there. By the way, here's a piece of advice, if you're a teacher and you have a talented child that you can see is talented, always compliment the other kids so no one knows HOW talented this kid is. Then when you pick the class leader, everyone will say 'WOW, what a good idea!!' See? It's all about doing the right thing. It's about ethics - like they have in Europe, for instance. We could use some of their customs over here during trying times!

Basically, the enthusiasm ROCKETGUY has for the team is obvious! And you know me, I have this 'thing' for the obvious! It's my job. Everyone should have a trade!

This makes me nervous if Doc is actually inferring that the Rockets are persuing Grant Hill...

Also, it seemed that Doc's "best student" part was referring to the draft. Does anyone know of some player within the Rockets range that they have said absolutely nothing about so far? Possibly a player that worked out with the Rockets that CD didn't praise and compliment? Seems like the Rockets are again preparing to take an unexpected pick once more. I hope it works out.

P.S. - You rule, Doc. [IMG]

Is this one referring to moving up in the draft & picking Battier? Battier does the little things on the floor.

    BEST friend?

    Travis Best?

European? Pau Gasol? Or "little things," Shane Battier?

Walt is involved. No-brainer.Chicago is involved. Chicago needs a solid point guard and a center and a three.

    Hmn. TRG mentioned Croshere.

#13 draft pick, Walt Williams, Jamal Crawford, Marcus Fizer to Indiana.

Kelvin Cato, Travis Best, Austin Croshere, #18 (and Drew obligation) to Chicago.

#4 pick to Houston (Gasol? Battier?) Maybe we take Miller, but I'd rather have the cap room.

You can adjust these players and picks, maybe throw KT to Chicago rather than the #13 pick, or something like that. I didn't go to RealGM, I know Croshere will be 75% BYC (and we have to renounce Hakeem before anything's done).

We would lose about 11 million cap obligation if we don't take Miller. But Miller's OK, I guess.

    OK,

if you're a teacher and you have a talented child that you can see is talented, always compliment the other kids so no one knows HOW talented this kid is. Then when you pick the class leader, everyone will say 'WOW, what a good idea!!' See? It's all about doing the right thing. It's about ethics - like they have in Europe

So, say a lot about a eauropean classmate, but really pick the better one, which you said nothing about...Gasol & Radmanovic? All about Gasol, nothing about Rad, despite him supposedly being better?

Also, passing on #42 to play "pick 'em" so Wiz for draft pick...directly or indirectly, I guess.

Come on guys, its obvious. The Rockets are involved in a three team trade to move up in the draft to get European player Pau Gasol. Who may or may not be the next Dirk Nowitski. Probably just another Turckan.

    ------------------
The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?

Oh, oh, I want to play.

    1) A three-way trade, but one or more of the players is hurting.
    2) We aren't being honest w/one of our free agents about wanting him(Anderson?)
    3) Trade Walt for a pick, a 2nd rounder?
    4) We want to move up in the draft for Battier
    5) Something about free agents? and inviting them in?
    6)We want Vladimir, not Pau.

    That was fun.

Walt's staying... very interesting. Doc, would Rudy and Carroll disagree on this enough to hold up a trade? I know he's great for team spirit and gets along w/ the kids, but whoa. I didn't realize that Rudy still had his back like that.

girl you looks good won't you mock that draft up?!

"Best student" could refer to Shane Battier....Wasn't he a particularly good academic-wise?

Europe=Red Herring? Europe means Gasol to everyone, this is too "obvious" for Doc Rocket, unless its that Rad Guy. Gasol is the kid the rockets are supposedly looking at so I think he's the smokescreen.

The talk on 42: You (CC.net) don't want Walt. The Rockets organization (The Dealer) doesn't want Walt, but everyone (the Rockets' players) love Walt.

The miss you misrepresentation part sounds like a Shannon Anderson has had second thoughts about opting out, but the Rockets don't miss him.

Battier was the Class Leader hence all the awards he won, shown ethics by staying 4, does the little things like take charges. Plays fundamental Basketball like many Europeans.

Three way deal sounds like Hill to me. Rocketguy sounds like Bulls are involved, but this could be another red herring as misrepresentation follows.

Who's the best friend? Is RT or CD on vacation? Could friends be prospects? Best friend hasn't worked out?

First off, I want Doc Rocket to be the godfather of my children. And with all that kinky sex stuff talk on, I don't know when that's going to go down... [IMG]

I was a bit troubled, though...I'm having all the smart people I know over to the house to analyze this for me and give me an accurate portrayal of just WHAT the ???? Doc is saying...most of it matched what you guys have been saying, but one of my "guests" said something particularly troubling: I don't know what to think about ANY of this, so, please, shoot this down before I have time to think about it...

I had this girl over (ridiculously smart) and she was reading the "we love it when our friends stay to meet them, even though our BEST friend is not there..." this part had us TOTALLY stumped (still does [IMG]), but then she mumbled "Aren't Steve and Cuttino BEST friends?" I mean, thinking about it, if we're going to be doing a little trading, and getting some QUALITY in return, we'd have to be trading people who have VALUE...and Mobley would be a valuable commodity for anyone...I don't know.

Somebody tell me what that part meant.

    Shandon or Dream

Front office wants a small forward but Steve "Franchise" wants Walt back.

You see, it's all up in the air! A trois equipes is staring at us, we all want to move up the corporate ladder, we love having people come over and we love it when our friends stay to meet them, even though our BEST friend is not there. I thought that Steves best friend on the team was Cat. I hope it is Walt! So another surprise in the draft. Chicago's 4th pick is ours.

Basically, the enthusiasm ROCKETGUY has for the team is obvious! And you know me, I have this 'thing' for the obvious! It's my job. Everyone should have a trade!

Could Doc be talking about Terrence Morris: he does the little things (blocks shots, can shoot the three, fill in the wing on a break)
He's picking his battles by not going to Chicago for the Draft Camp

I thought "pick your battles" also meant pick Battier. But then there was that "European" comment. And what does this mean:"everyone loves to play 42 even though the dealer wants to play another game!"? Is Walt staying or going? It seems all the hints are about the 3 position, the healthy comment could be Hill, the Euro could be Gasol, or we could be moving up to get Battier. Oh, hell, I'm still trying to figure out Doc's trade deadline hints.

I believe that the first part of this quote is talking about Dream/Jordan/Barkley. Maybe Washington wants us to do a sign & trade with them for Dream & in the deal we'll acquire the #1 pick. The friends referrence could be to teams that we have done business with in the past & that was mutually beneficial to all parties. Could that be Vancouver/Memphis? Or is Vancouver our BEST friend that's not there?

    Hey Doc,

I don't have a lot of hair left & would really appreciate keeping what I do have left. Could you please try speaking english? [IMG]

    "pot stirring"= magic
    "up in the air"= rockets

Everyone else has covered most of it. I'm still perplexed on the "BEST friend" part if he's NOT talking about Hakeem.

Maybe, and it's a big maybe, the European reference is talking about John Amaechi. Of course it's more likely an allusion to Gasol and Radmanovic.
