We don't even have our own pick this year. even if you are one of the worst 4 teams in the nba there is 45% chance you don't get a top pick. The nets young core is not good. Its like the lakers "Young core."

Levert and Dinwiddie both have below league average TS% and make 30 mil combined, and with Harden, KD, Kyrie those picks are going to be low first rounders. I would rather just see competitive basketball for the next couple year and Tank the year after. Harden is going to be 33. If we wants to leave then fine.

This is what I'm having trouble with what the ROCO trade. There is no way that the 16th pick and Ariza is going to help us become a contender which is our only shot to convince Harden to stay. To me, the trade means that Harden is a goner either now or next offseason when the right package comes a long.

We are literally strapped right now with the lack of picks. This is similar to the Texans but obviously not as bad. I'm finally getting over the denial stage.

I think it's the opposite actually. Sure I'm cool with running it back one more year but when we do rebuild I wanna rebuild haaard. I don't want some quick turnaround on Ben Simmons or whatever. I wanna be THE worst team in the league for multiple years. If/when we rebuild and we come out on the other side with Tillman still owning the team then we just wasted our time. If the foundation of your house is rotten then to rebuild your house you can't just tear down the walls and build another house around that same shitty foundation. You have to burn everything to the ground and start fresh.

The reality is Harden will get to decide when he leaves.

Yeah there is a 50% chance the Rockets would lose their pick but also a 50% chance they can keep it. I would rather get started rebuilding now than in 12 months.

A smart GM and owner can get started and accumulate quite a few assets in 12 months by trading role players and taking on contracts for draft picks.

Having said that, I am not sure whether they even are rebuilding or not because they got Ariza.

I want Silas/Stone to take their shot at building the team they want.

I feel like too many bridges have been burned in the Tilman era since the 2018 season.

The Lakers series was an embarrassment to watch, one of the worst Rockets series I've seen since maybe the mid-00's Jazz series.

There is no point in running a disgruntled Harden with $40MBrook and old guys getting older. This may be the last time Westbrook, Gordon or Tucker have any residual value.

If we don't move Westbrook by the end of this season, we are not doing anything right.

looking at this is pretty telling what direction they're headed. more moves are definitely coming. Two of them are guys who don't want to be here.
