And his name is Anderson Varejao. This guy has been flopping every time down the court. Unreal. And I thought Manu was king.
It's his hair. One way the NBA can stop the flopping is have everyone cut their hair. List of floppers with long hair. Dirk Varejao Scola Manu That rule right there will stop 80% of the floppers from getting calls.
He was deliberately sticking his chin right into Yao's arms/elbows when Yao was posting up. Any contact made (forced contact), was followed by an exaggerated flopping of his head.
Yup, he was acting out of his mind tonight. I had thought Manu was the best at the flop, but Varejao was Jack Friggin Nicholson tonight.

Well....if they are gonna give you that call, why stop? Blame the refs for falling for it over and over again.

The Cavs announcers.. before I turned it off... said that the refs had a LOT of video shown to them with Varejo on it when they were learning about what is a flop and the Cavs complained about now he can't get a call. Give me a freaking break. If he was shown that prominently in the videos it means he needs to learn to take a charge and not flail around like he's be shot at the slightest touch. Loser.
I thought the league going to do something with the flopping? What are their move to counter it? Or just NATO, no action talk only?
What I want to happen: When someone flops, I want Yao or whoever to turn around, bump his chest, flex his arms, kiss his biceps (LOL), etc. Basically, call out the guy on the floor for being a wuss. It would be epic. Or, I want the entire team to flop in unison. Basically make a mockery of it all. I'm willing to sacrifice a bucket for the hilarity.
Dude... you are behind the curve. He's been the flop king for a long time. Mike Brown, the coach of the Cavs, said a few weeks ago that the league made videos of Varejao for the purpose of training refs against flopping. Brown wasn't happy about it, either... thinking Andy was unfairly targeted. In fact, he was leading the league in charges taken back in 06/07: http://www.82games.com/charges0607.htm
