Maybe Tmac and Yao are mad about a trade that's coming on the 15th. I don't know if it's Battier or Alston or Hayes, but maybe Mac/Yao are mad at RA or Morey or whoever about one of these players leaving. So, they had this on their minds and weren't focused on the game. I'm not saying this was intentional, but it was hard for them to focus when thinking about one of their teammates leaving. But why would they know this 5 days before the trade....
It doesn't matter what is the reason. Rockets are paying those two huge money, and they should do their best.
if the rockets are going to make a trade this 15h, they won't mention it to anybody days earlier. but we can't rule out the possibility of an info leak. I'd buy your theory, possible. and the way tmac played tonight shooting only 8 attempts, it's likely that he's part of it.
Yeah, this theory is a bit screwy. But, something has to explain our quit tonight (by Tmac). I don't think he's a quitter, generally, I think he's pissed. And I'm just trying to figure out why.

I doubt it, but you never know. Tmac did look distracted, but atheletes do have lives outside of the game. Who knows, maybe some other family or personal issue was distracting him, or maybe he just had a bad game. I suspect that if the game was close they would have played him on the sprained ankle, but since it was a blow out already there was little point in doing anything but icing it.

the 15th is only for FAs (e.g., Steve Francis, Scola?) signed this summer - meaning we can trade Mike James and T-Mac as soon as yesterday. (not soon enough)
