This is just a huge thank you to The_Yoyo Tonight after the game he waited for the players to come out and asked Chuck to talk to me on the phone. I was wished a Merry Christmas by my favorite player and it was likely the best Christmas present that I will get this year by far. So everyone give Yoyo some love for me!
Sounds like a stalker to me :grin: . Chuck is pretty cool, i met him a few times as a rookie at club tonic downtown. I had to tell him about my rupp arena experience in 91 as a red shirt freshman. Cool guy.
LOL not a stalker... I was too shy to go up and bug him at Summer League so Yoyo was taking care of the approach for me. 91 eh... which team?? I went to several games that year. My high school boyfriend's brother bought us student tickets... I may have see you sitting on the bench!

Mash,pelphrey,woods and that big strong hispanic guy whom I can't remember,lol. We were in the kentucky classic and somehow, 2 teams cancelled and we wind up playing KU thursday night at rupp for the first game. It was 91-92 and KU had a squad that year too.
That's cool. Deron Feldhaus was my favorite player on that team What can I say I dig shorter guys with very little athleticism! The big guy was Gimel Martinez? I think?
Yeah, that was him. Mash was a talent. Big guy who could handle,shoot,rebound some. He didn't have that dog in him, but still a very good player.
Yoyo is a classy guy to do that for you. Now if he could have taken a picture with that chick that was on TV last night, he would be my idol.
i wake up get into work i see this on the front page? seriously HF you didnt need to post this here, now i feel a bit embarassed by it all...I was more than happy to do it I was glad I was able to get a hold of you on the phone when Chuck came out. He was in front of my signing some people's stuff and I was like "oh I should send a pic to HF" then I though I should just call her and see if Chuck would say hello. I thought Chuck would just say hello and pass the phone back to me, but he was like "hey can you walk with me up?" since the Staples security started to kick people out at that time and I said sure next thing I know the two of you are carrying on in your own conversation about what I have no idea. Well I am glad I was able to brighten your holidays up this year.
OK, lesson learned. The_Yoyo lives in LA, so probably has the celeb chances all the time. Reminder to myself...if The_Yoyo ever does this for me...unless it it Jessica Alba,,,don't repost the event on the board. And if it is Jessica Alba, you better get me pics The_Yoyo. [EDIT] This reminds me of the time I got Tom Lasorda to call my 14yr old sister, back before cell phones.
