Though I am a Rocket fan and watching the Rockets play on TV is something I enjoy, there have been insults on the Rockets this year that I could not help but laugh. Some of the Rockets who recieve the worst of the insults are Moochie Norris, Cuttino Mobley, Steve Francis, and Eddie Griffin.

I voted for Eddie's Pass because I particularly remember that being said by Bill W. on ESPN.

    And I was pretty dissed.

I was wondering if it was James Posey or Eddie Griffin who made that pass. I guess Eddie was passing it to Posey. You know, I don't think that the insults about our guards not passing the ball is fair. Sure, Cuttino Mobley shoots a lot more than he passes, but a lot of the times he is in a position where he can score or create an opportunity for himself. Moochie Norris has to adjust his game to the new rules. He has to pass the ball because the zone defense that teams would put down makes it hard for him to penetrate and therefore he dribbles the ball for a million seconds. I hope Moochie passes the ball to his teammates because I have seen Steve Francis set him up for an open jumper. Where's the love for Steve? Francis has been awesome, great, fantastic, and athletic. He does involves his teammates. Look at the Francis-Cato, Francis-Posey alley-oop connections. I would love to see a lot more pick-and-rolls between Francis/Yao Ming, where Ming slides to the basket.

Posey made the pass and Walton was on him the whole game basically. It wasn't that horrible, just a pass that did not find the target.

Bill Walton is always on Posey's case. In the game where the Rockets were playing Dallas, he criticized Posey non-stop. Sure Posey was playing a bit out f control, but he was on Posey's case. I remember him saying, "Posey playing out of control." He pointed out how Posey was boxing out Dirk Nowitzki to the point where "Dirk went out of bounce and (Posey) looked at him (Dirk) as if to say it's all his fault." If Posey is boxing out, then Dirk probably went over his back and Posey was just probably telling him about it. Then a couple possessions later, Shawn Bradley took a jumper and Posey went to block it, but flattened Bradley to the ground. That brought Walton to say, "James Posey plaing out of control. The ref just went to Tomjanovich and told him to take Posey out of the game or he would get kicked out."
I don't know why he gets on Posey's case so many times. Another time was when we played the Lakers. He dissed Griffin and Posey, saying that the Laker forwards are so much better. The Laker forwards are pretty solid, but Posey and Griffin aren't all that bad. Posey's defense and Griffin's shotblocking skills is what sparks the fastbreak. Well, I was glad that the Rockets won that game.

DJ, you beat me to it. lol. i love bill walton to death... he's the funniest and most fickle sports analyst... ever.

he was bashing posey nonstop during that dallas game. posey had missed two consecutive shots and walton said that he just saw "the worst two shots in rockets franchise history". he's used that line before, but i can't help but to laugh. apparently, he hasn't seen cato's fadeway jumpshot. oh well.

    walton is king!!!

    this my diss

as we were leaving the big Smeg game v the Sonics, we are walking out near the stairs in the upper level, i look down and Jason Collier is down the bottom for the photo night, i turn to him and yell.

    "Hey Jason Collier"

he turns looks and me and nods and sort of waves at me.

    I then yell

"Do you still play for the Rockets"

    cruel but funny :D

if i were there, smeg, i wouldn't be the one the fans that sits on his/her hands. i'd take advantage of going to games if i actually lived in houston. i moved here to atlanta/avondale estates a couple of years ago. i went to the rockets one and only appearance here at phillips arena. i know i keep saying this, but i got to see yao's first career technical in person. i jumped out of my chair pointing fingers and yelling at theo ratliff. the people atlanta fans looked at me like i was a 'tard or something. oh well. AWESOME. yao should have added the mutombo wave to the scream.

anyway, the rox have to give us something to "get off of our hands" for. they haven't done anything yet. bad time to open a new arena.

i'll still buy the league pass next year though.
