I was in Vegas this past week and got a chance to visit the WSP, what a production! There were two table left when I got there, however I didn't recognize any of the players. There were at least 20 ESPN cameras in this massive conference room, hundreds of spectators and plenty of excitment. While I watched some guy eliminated 3 players with trip K's, one of the dudes eliminated ran out into the hotel lobby in disbelief that his 2 pair got beat (Q's and K's) cameras followed closely. The buy-in was 10,000 dollars and there were 2700 players. I heard that 23rd place won over 200,000 dollars. I met and spoke with Jesus Ferguson, he is a really nice but strange fellow. He was gracious enough to sign my poker mag (www.allinmagazine.com) and take a pic with my homeys and I (Rockhead rule to follow). I actually played in a few 2/4 games while I was there. Best hand- Bluffed with a flush draw and won over 300 dollars. Worse hand- Lost with a full boat, 10's full of A's to A's full of 10's.
No, I'm in DC, I just play with play money on the new cause I'm bored and the realest I ever play is with my buddies on Thursdays for 10 dollars in chips.
*****SPOILERS************ Wow!! Another player from Pokerstars won it again this year. As a matter of fact both the 1st and 2nd place finishers were both from Pokerstars. It looks like a bunch of the big name players got knocked out early. I really wanted to see Phil Ivey on the final table too. http://www.pokerstars.com
