I thought it might be fun to play a game where we choose who, between two players in their respective primes, we would rather have on our team. I'll start it out.

Who would you rather have, Rod Strickland or Mark Price?

Mark Price was PRIMO, and a winner! Rod was great talent, but lousy synergy bringing his teams down.

Mark Price was one of the top points in the laegue in his prime. There's no contest.

I thought the Cleveland team w/ Price, Nance, Daugherty, and Ehlo had a chance to win it all...if it weren't for MJ.

    ...and Hot Rod Williams

NOTE: When I mean who would you want on your team, I don't necessarily mean the Rockets. Just any team you were starting.

Here's another one, I've been debating this with myself for a while:

    Elvin Hayes or Bob McAdoo?

When healthy, I'd go with Brent Price.

    Price, I guess.

Now, I'm trying to think of some of the worst players I can remember ever playing the game.
-Hmmm him or Scottie Quitten... Oliver Miller or Scottie, I'll take Miller.
    -Matt Maloney or Quitten... Maloney.
-Shawn Bradley or "I couldn't have won a title without MJ," I'll go with Bradley.

    Stockton or Malone?
    None of the above.

    Of course Mark Price.

WHat about Magic or Bird at their respective prime?
    Joe Dumas or Isiah Thomas?
    Kevin Johnson or Tim Hardaway?

Mark Price of course. He was a deadeye 3-pt bomber who could run the offense as good as anyone.
I'd say Magic over Bird, because to me, Magic in his prime was the best creator in basketball and put the show into Showtime.
Is Joe Dumars vs. Isiah as far as GM's are concerned? I'd pick Joe in a heartbeat. He has put together a great team and while many GM's would have stood pat after winning a title, he went out there in the age of the salary cap and made a great team even better. Isiah on the other hand, has strapped the Knicks into the salary cap abyss they will never emerge from.

KJ vs. Tim Hardaway is a toughie. Both were great competitors and great floor generals. I'd have to say a tie.

Joe D vs Isiah isn't even worth discussing. As GMs it's Joe in a landslide, and as players it's Isiah by a mountainslide.

    Mark Price
    Hayes
Brent Price (I'm assuming health in definition of "prime")
Magic (Had he not quit early, he'd have cast a longer shadow over the league than Bird)
    Isiah Thomas
    Kevin Johnson (see Brent Price)

Mark Price for the Rockets. But for some of you guys who don't think its close, you should look up some of Rod's career numbers. He was a knuckle head no doubt, but he was a very good player for a decent amount of time.
