I was thinking of creating this thread because I had some names of some players who were at or near the All Star caliber level in my head, and was wondering what ever happened to them: J.R. Rider I heard he's making a comeback, but no team wants to even deal with him Cedric Ceballos I heard he's playing in the Philippines Mateen Cleeves I have no idea Any others?
Mateen Cleaves played on a summer league team for Seattle, and played last season in the NBADL for the Huntsville Flight. He'll probaly end up there again.
Marteen Cleaves was last seen trying to hit the broad side of a barn. But I heard he is now good friends with Mark Macon.
mateen cleaves played for the cavs last season. he did really good, but was cut when jeff mccinnis returned from injury. my questions: zan tabak george zidek scott burrell rumeal robinson mark macon tony bennett kirk haston
What ever happened to Harold Miner? He was one of the first so called "Baby Jordans." He was picked right after Horry and i remember we booed the selection of Horry b/c everyone wanted Miner.
Rider was a good athlete with zero in the brains department. He had good ability but let his attitude beat him.
He took time off from the NBA to focus on his acting career. you may recognize him from such films as "Cradle 2 the Grave" and "Never Die Alone". He also records the occasional rap album.
LOL. The DMX lookalike had a contract dispute with the Warriors as a second round draftpick , and ended up holding out for his entire rookie season. He has since disappeared and never gotten another shot.
How about: Wayman Tisdale? He was supposed to be destined for greatness. Toni Kukoc? The European Jordan? Is he still in the NBA? Matt Bullard? Matt Geiger? Bison Dele? Wasn't he murdered or something?
Yes Rumeal and Mark Macon were NCAA standouts. I think Rumeal played backup pg to Fisher and Van Exel the last time I saw him.
Kukoc is a free agent and played extremely well the last two seasons with the Bucks. Bullard retired after 2001-2002, filled in for Calvin Murphy as the Rocket's color man. Geiger retired I think after the Sixers lost in the finals.
Wayman Tisdale - Now retired from the NBA and is a jazz artist and owns hiw own production company: Tisway Productions Toni Kukoc - Still in the NBA, spent the last few seasons with Milwaukee Matt Bullard - Now a sports announcer, last played with New Orleans Matt Geiger - Retired from the NBA due to injury, owns a record company named MG 20/20 Bison Dele - Murdered
