The Rockets fan are slowly getting what they've been waiting for and deserve!! and with each passing day I am building more confidense in our new GM Mr. Morey(thank you Sir for the fine job so far).

Of course none of us know what will happen but these are fair moves(great) with what we have available(money wise).
To begin with we did not get who we wanted in the draft but I for one am happy with Brooks(I think him,Rafer and James will be a great combo) so A+.

Scola, beside the general info everyone has I don't know much about but I am very confident he is a great match for Ricky A's offense. so A

Best move of the summer, not chasing Rashard and raping our franchise. A+++

I hope next great move, not chasing Francis (I am pretty positive thats the case).

And a move I really like to see because of the way we are going to play, our roster and also addition of Scola, is to try a trade with Bobcats.
They are in a huge need of back-court help,so I would try to send them 2 or 3 of our guys and pickup Herrmann.
I believe he would fit in nicely and with one year experience here in NBA he could be a great help to help Scola adjust.

    I would send:
    Lucas
    Novak
Head Or Snyder (I prefer sending Head so he can at least get some playing time there,he is on of my fav. Rockets).

Again Thanks Mr. Morey and keep up the great work!!

    Make it 2....keep Novak
Herrmann is good, but not that good.

.....and what upsets me is when Scola and Herrmann are on court at the same time .... is there any chance their looooooong hair twist up?

Since we have 19 players, I would send all 4 to the Kitties. I know that's waaaayyyyy toooooo much for him, but we're gonna wind up waiving 1 or 2 of them anyway.

Essentially its a good deal because we need to cut some room off the roster anyways. Hermann will essentially give you what novak gave you except that he is more grittier and can rebound (a poor man's garbajosa). I would do that deal in a second with either head or snyder. Any deal we do for hermann has to make the bobcats feel like they were getting the better end of the deal because they value hermann so highly.

No way we send so many dudes for Herrman, even though I think he'd be an insanely good fit for the Rockets ( 0.527% FG?! 0.461 3ptFG? Damn, he's like the anti-Rafer).

Though, the team needs to cut some fat, that's for sure. But Luther is definetly not someone you just throw away. A young guy with potential who's actually done something worthwhile? You don't throw those kind of players away.

I'm still not totally happy with Morey's moves. For me, the only good thing so far that has come out of him is bringing in Scola for V-gina.

I'm not totally sold on the draft picks.. time will have to tell and prove me wrong.

well when you look at it that way, les braught in adelman who convinced bonzi to stay. CD layed the ground work for the howard/james trade. morey may have fudged up the draft, but that's mostly the scouts fault, not the GM.

up until the scola deal, morey hasn't really done anything. even then, i suspect that r.c. buford put that deal in place. they needed to cut salary so a butler/spanoulis deal was what they were after. morey migh not have even pried scola from them. the spurs are a very classy team. they wouldn't shelf scola for his whole career. he was useless to them so they found a team on which he could have a big role.

on the other hand, if you don't look at things that way, morey braught in adelman, bonzi, james, scola, maybe francis, and drafted the best rookie of the summer league.

I don't think we should get so high on him even though I like what happens so far. Novak was a ROY candidate before last season started, where is he now? Same could happen to AB. Scola is the best outside NBA, does not necessarily mean he will be successful in NBA. Good moves so far, but evaluation should be done after some results.

I agree...Keep Novak for a M.Bullard type role and chase Stevie, if anything for a spark of the bench!!

The glass half full/half empty approach.

You know, Morey really didn't have to pull the trigger on the J-Howard trade. He could of tried a sign a trade with the sonics for Lewis... then we would of been the ones stuck with a 120 Million dollor contract.

The Cats fans would run riot across Michael Jordan's office if they give away Herrmann. They love the way he plays. Very Dr. J lite. And he is their best defender and guards the opposition's best player. Didn't you all realise that when he brokeout in the last 2 months of the last season, the Cats went on a winning streak?

The Cats fans on RealGM even have a name for him. Herrmanator.

I think the Scola deal was his 3rd best move going like:

    1.Unloading Howard
    2.rashard
    3.Scola

And as far as draft I think he did good with the tools he had available to him,he picked a project in Newly that no matter what will be a great marketing tool, and a will be good point and I also believe it was before draft when he planted the seeds for scola deal,so with that in mind I can't ask for more out of that draft thinking it always could be better.
