"we are going to the 2nd season"

    what are you talking about?

edit: Never mind. Realized he is talking about the playoffs.

And no, I think they'd rather play with the guys they have than go with some vets who might help slightly (though they'd have to learn the offense, so it'd be debatable as to how much they'd help).. when they're clearly not going to put us over the top from where we are to "contender".

Plus, they just did some great work to get under the luxury tax and all. No reason to spend extra money for no reason after all that.

so you think david anderson has a future w the rockets yes it looks like we ,might not go to the playoffs but a good g.m.is still trying to sell the idea that the playoffs are gettable &if david anderson &hilton armstrong are not in the plans i would at least act like it is still a possibility in order to fill the seats as in run the bandwagon till wheels falloff

Problem is when the wheels fall off it'll take several years to develop new wheels for the wagon &because we still need to break in the wheels for the wagon &the problem with this is that the wheels aren't even as good as the wheels we're using right now end sentence.

Your point would have better if you capitalized at the start of your sentence. ;)

The only way I see us considering taking on one of these two guys is if we still stay under lux tax and Morey is seriously considering to sign them to a contract in the summer as Yao's backup. Seriously doubt that though, and the time would probably be just as productive playing Hill, and might even bring us closer to playoffs. Neither one of these guys are impact players.

It's not grammar either, which I apparently suck at.

yes, I think andersen has a future with the rockets.

No, a good owner is trying to sell the idea that the playoffs are gettable. A good GM is trying to build the present and the future at the same time...giving the team their best shot at a championship. We don't have a shot at a title now, so there's no reason for Morey to be looking for a stopgap that doesn't help the future and has costs right now (money-wise and anti-development-of-young-guys-wise)

Les Alexander could very well say he wants to sell tickets and sell fans on the idea of the playoffs, but I think they're already selling seats...and Les has saved a lot of money through trades. I think knowing that Yao will be back next season will guarantee him income next year, and he won't worry about hindering the team for a few dollars this year.

and true fans believe our team can win, we don't need help, we just need our guys to focus and play better d. our offense looked damn good against Utah, which in previous years has not been a bad defensive team (not sure how their numbers are lately) we scored 110 points, but we had NO defense. I like Kevin in the starting line up with either ariza or battier sitting, that way we still have d coming off the bench.

We need to go ona winning streak now before ariza and lowry get back so we can go on an even bigger run and hopefully catch up to SA, Por, Griz, etc.

i don't think that losing David Anderson is going to hurt at all he is almost 30 the age when bigs starting losing the legs yes he has room he could improve but you cant stop the clock on his body & he is a cheap big but this is a big f.a. season & a good (more like fair) shooting bad defender should be easy to get i mean how much better is he than brain cook i just think it is time again to get younger better

    Bingo.

Man, from what I've been reading the past couple days, I was under the impression that the supposed "true" fan was someone who hopes the Rockets will lose every game this month to get their beloved draft pick.

Yes, a good GM builds for the future...but they still need to win. A good GM does not aim to lose simply for a good draft pick. That's what you call a ****ty GM. They not only need to win for their integrity and building a winning attitude with the team, but simply for the sake of being profitable. This is a business people and nobody goes to the game to watch a bunch of losers.
