I pondered bringing that beast of a thread out of the depths. However, I fear it will bring back hack attack boy.

I noticed a blurb about 'that' petition though in a fair article:

I questioned the significance of the petition b/c of what I perceived as 'model bashing' by old schoolers. It looks that haven and jamcracker's concerns about the petition's integrity though, were correct.

Well, every oil company I know of claims there is no link between CO2 and climate change. Who would have thought the 'Warming Studies Inconclusive' lobby was really a conspiracy of dentists, nutritionists, and the petro companies. Damn, didn't see that one coming.

On a serious note I think its funny as we see super hurricanes and typhoons, record breaking droughts in some areas and record rainfall in others...and none of this clicks in people's heads.

I did see an interesting documentary the other night with a lot of 'model bashing.' It seems that even the IPCC acknowledges that the models do a horrible job compensating for the two main 'greenhouse' contributors: clouds and water vapor.
