The Unthinkable: Will Spurs Miss Playoffs? I think there is a legitmate chance. Reasons:

    1. Spurs is only 3 games ahead of 9th place Nuggets.
    2. Spurs have been playing like crap, losing 6 of last 7. AND with all their big 3 healthy.
    3. Nuggets got Anthony Carter back and their offense have been clicking. They won 7 of their last 10.

Yeah they are struggling, but even a crippled Spurs team is way better than the "168" Nuggets.

it is possible....they just seem a tad slower, and not because they arent trying hard enough. Even their commentators seem to have picked on this.

It would be pretty cool if they fell to 8th and got eliminated by the Rockets in the first round.

The Nuggets are a group of talented thugs who have no concept of team basketball. They might beat out the Warriors for the 8th spot (warriors end the season with a grueling schedule) but thats it. I personally am rooting for them as I would like the Rockets to beat them down in the first round.

I dont think they will, the big 3 will pick their game up and carry the spurs with that being said, i dont think they will make much noise in the playoffs.

Age is catching up to that team and yes i lurk on the spurs forum and even their fans are doubting their team..

Only time will tell we will see what happens..

They won't miss the playoffs. The only way it could possibly happen is if Manu is worn down, can't keep up the stellar play and nobody else steps up. Even then, I bet they still win enough games to get in.

I'll say this much: The Spurs don't look like a contender right now. Maybe Brent Barry's return will give them some life.

I doubt Denver will bump anyone out. Every single losing streak, no matter how small, will put a team down a few spots.

The Suns, Mavs and Spurs in the bottom half of the playoff bracket...while the Rockets, Lakers and Hornets are in the top half?! What's even more incredible is it would take only a few games for all their positions to completely flip flop.

The only team I think Denver could catch is Golden State...SA, Phoenix and Dallas, despite some struggles, know how to win.

San Antone, Phoenix, Mavs will make the playoffs. Stop dreaming.

The Spurs can't lose forever, they're gonna get on a few streaks between now and the post season.

I think that's the thing. Spurs may be only 3 games from falling out of the playoffs, but the Rockets are only 4.5 games away. Playoff spots won't be clinched by anyone in the West until the very end of the season. We're as likely as the Spurs to miss the playoffs altogether. I don't believe Golden State is the only seeded team in danger. Anyone who has a significant injury or loses focus is out. Consistency will be the key to the West this season. Winning 22 games straight got us 1st place for the moment, but it was pretty much necessary for us to seed at all.
