It ended before it even got started. Tiger Woods just finished his round on Friday and sits a-top the leaderboard with a score of five under par. Good luck catching him this weekend. The second grand slam chase is still alive.
I believe you are correct. I guess that means I will have to watch the Astros this weekend after all.
Tiger Woods is so amazing. The guy is absolutely phenominal. I don't think there is one single player anywhere that means more to his/her individual sport than Tiger does for golf.
Tennis, my silly BBS friend! She does a heck of a lot more for tennis, in my eyes, then Tiger does for golf.
Here's a pretty recent leader board. The last number is the number of holes played. There are still a lot of players on the course. 1. Tiger Woods -5 F 2. K.J. Choi -2 4 3. Dudley Hart E 8 3. Sergio Garcia E 6 3. Jeff Maggert E 5 3. Phil Mickelson E 5
It's funny to hear "The pack" talk about how they are closing in on him, and yet, really, has anybody even been close to him in a major? Not really. He is so far ahead of these guys it's ridiculous. Can he win the grand slam this year? That would be nuts if he is still elligible and then does it....
Lucky for Tiger he played early this morning, the guys are having one sh!tty time out there in all that rain. It might not be so over. Someone could make a small run, actually make a few birdies and Tiger could bogey a few and it might be exciting for a little while. Noone is tougher phsychologically than Tiger though, even if he did stumble in the next few days, he's just got the confidence to keep himself above anyone else...so ok yeah its pretty much over, but anything can happen. BTW Hydra, I'd absolutely LOVE to race against Shumacher in a Ferrari!
Anyone see the run Maruyama put together today? If he makes one more par, it's the round of the day. Starting on 13, he went birdie-ace-birdie. That's one way to shoot yourself back into the tournament. It still illustrates the point though...Tiger's opponents have to play out of their minds just to get close to him.
