If you had to choose which player you'd rather get versus the players we'll be shipping out, which one would you pull the trigger on if you were Daryl Morey? Which gamble would you go for?

    * The catch here is neither Dwight nor Bynum will commit to sign an extension as they would get larger and lengthier contracts by becoming a free agent and sign a brand new contract with us if they choose to do so

    * Also consider long term health issues. Dwight's back vs Bynum's knees

Once can argue the details of the packages as it could be anyone on our roster that can serve as additional assets. So its basically getting dwight but losing our favorite rookie or get bynum and keep em but you send Dwight to the Lakers.

I voted for the Dwight trade but there is no way I give up donuts.

I think he has a chance to be a all star with his size and skills.

Dumb thread. There's no way in hell either of those packages are offered for Dwight Howard, specially considering how little leverage Orlando has...

Then teams like cleveland would beat your offer then.

    Martin
    Lamb
    Patterson
    Morris
    2 1st rd picks
    1-2 2nd rd picks
    "filler"

    Howard
    Richardson
    Turkoglu

    - If there's a trade, it will be something along these lines. Clutchfans will melt down with screams that we overpaid. Lamb will be proclaimed a future 25ppg scorer for the next 10 yrs. The future of the Rockets looks bleak. people will scream to fire Morey and demand Les sells the team.

    - Then we win around 50 games next year and the board becomes sharply divided on whether or not Dwight resigns. The GARM will be a very tense place for the next year or so.

    - We will be a gazillion threads started on who should start at PF. Who is the best of the 3 rookies now and who has the "highest ceiling". There will be extreme knee jerk reactions for the first half of the season every time one of them scores over 15 pts or grabs double digit rebounds.

    Lin / Douglass / Machado
Richardson / (Morey target "Player X" who will be very young or very old. Will be a shooter though)
    Parsons / Turkoglu
    Donuts / Jones / White
    Howard/Asik

    (re-posted from previous non-poll thread)

I will save your post and lets talk again when a deal with orlando happens.

By the way, taking your time to reply on a dumb thread makes you even.. Not gonna say it.

Remember fellas, by choosing Bynum, don't forgetthe fact that the best center in the league will be running the "Lakeshow".

The package we could offer for Bynum ... you don't hesitate. Even if his knees blow up the season after. As long as we keep D-MO and Lamb, I'm fine with every package ...

If it really boils down to Lamb or Motiejunas... that's a freaking tough call to make.

Logic says you always go with height, but we have a glut of 4s and virtually no 2s.

Ya that's a tough call and one that I'm having difficulties figuring out. Lamb makes shots (fadeaways) that not many guys in the league can.

Doubt it. Who else has a. the assets and b. the balls to trade for a rental?

But if they did, we could ratchet up. It's not a blind bid auction. The teams will know what the real offers are when they are made.
The first upped bid I'd offer is to take another contract, Dmo and Lamb would be the last.

I feel like The Bynum package and letting our young guns develop are the 2 obvious favorites. I think majority of clutchfans is tired of Martin, arent as high on Patterson as before, and let's face it, Morris isnt what we thought he was. So if we could pull Bynum out from what we do not want, plus some draft picks, I feel like Rockets would come out on top for sure no doubt about it ya betcha

There's a million potential trade permutations so, hard to understand how we only have 3 choices.

while it makes intuitive sense that we should be able to give up less to get bynum, that might not be the case. we will have to give orlando essentially everything they want for dwight in a three-way with lakers. lakers can at most take on richardson. and their draft picks will fall at the very end of the first round and add little value once dwight's in lala land.

if we absorb one less bad contract, we get off that much easier, so we should have to give up roughly the same amount of value. which is why we'd only trade for bynum if we actually like him more than dwight or as much (as a player and as a health risk) / feel more or as confident that he'd re-sign with us.

We must keep Motie and Lamb at all costs.
