there are always plenty of knee-jerk pessimistic threads, and once in a while we like to point out all the positive things about our team to keep a good perspective. well since it's thanksgiving, what a perfect time to say what you are thankful for...when it comes to the rockets game action and roster moves i'm thankful that we hired the wizard! DM the GM!!
Yes that is true however our salary is over half of what OKC's is. They pay the stars on this team to deliver wins over scrub teams like the Pacers and they didn't deliver last night. So actually if we are going to lose I'd say cut a star or two and bring in some guys that wanna compete for a championship this year.
Arrghhh!! Read the title of thread!!! I'm thankful Yao seems to be coming out of his slump and that our draft picks( AB,Landry,Greene) are actual NBA talents.
im not worried at all. the first month is always the hardest for houston. some stupid problems but they should go away. maybe the team lost so the pacers can have a better thxgiving since they know this season theyre gonna get stomped almost every game. we'll be takin the leauge by storm once the team is healthy. were not doin bad. our teams daam good, just needs to pick up the offense and tmac is a big part of it and he isnt 100% so i dunno why so many pple have to act up like its the end of the mother ****ing world that our offense sucks right now. THINK THINGS ****ING THROUGH ****ING DAMMIT
I wanna keep this thread going. We need to stay positive. I can get over losses in an hour but it really pisses me off to see thread after thread of whining about how bad this team apparently is when we all know it isn't. I want to have a thread that I can go to where I know I probably won't be seeing these fans that are apparently basketball experts telling us why we suck even though we are leading the division right now.
Thankful 1. I m a Rocket Fan. I enjoy it 2. The talents we have 3. The up-and-down excessive emotion I have towards their performance and make me not bored. 4. ...Clutch BBS... Go Rockets.
Thankful the issues are happening now instead of later. McGrady is right, himself and this team will be judged in April and May. Not saying December thru March dont mean anything. But at 10-6 with Yao semi rounding into form and Artest making more of his shots, and trading season around the corner, things should be okay.
As I expected. An overly positive thread makes for some really boring forum discussion. HOWEVER, let's keep it going!!! I'm thankful that the Rockets always seem to be considered a big threat to everyone every single year, and that we have such great hype even though we can't get out of the first round.
I'll take boring over depressing. I have to have two drinks in me before I can read some of the other threads after a loss.
Fair enough. It can be quite depressing after a loss. But that's what makes us such great passionate fans. The anger and depression proves how much we care about this team.
