My personal belief is that Jesus was not the son of God, but I did not think ANY Christians held that belief.

    No, we are his servants.

And Jesus (Isa) was a messenger of God, one of many I might add.

    Good Day.

I heard they found the receipt from the last supper and Jesus stiffed the waitress.

    LMAO! Good one :D

    No, not at all.

The point of contention is this: Did Jesus (pbuh) claim he was the son of God? Obviously, the majority of Christians (I was under the impression that all of Christians subscribed to this) believe that he indeed was, and that he did claim to be the son of God; Islam views that claim as a 'falsehood' attributed to Jesus Christ.

Here Jesus is talking to himself or perhaps his divinity was unknown to himself (kinda hard for someone who is all knowing ;))
Add in John The Baptist baptising Jesus when He was without sin and we need a Theological Cleanup on Ailse 12.

During the Prophet's time the society and culture was an oral one....nothing was written and people would memorize everything and transmit everything orally....so nobody could read and write, because it wasnt necessary

I don't think Jesus was God's son either

Islam recognizes the unity of God and doesn't attach any human traits or characteristics to God, thus, Muhammad was a man and Jesus was simply a man even though they were both prophets

    hope this helps

Hey this is Palm Sunday & it's very disrespectful to take take CHEAP shots at Jesus Christ during this important time of the year for Catholics! The timing is really wonderful! Please be respectful, you can question about the validity of Christ, that's your right ,but to disrespect him outright without facts is just stupid! I would'nt disrespect your profit Mohammed at any time, but the majority of you muslims, jews, or non believer just seem to enjoy this! Please be civil. I notice if some posters here, call your profit Mohammed a pedophille ,crook ,or womanizer you'll be at an uproar in a second!

I am not insulting Jesus at all. I am just quoting a story about a Christian author.

Is English your second language? If so, I will give you a break on your syntax and grammar, otherwise you should take a crash course on composition.

I was not directing this at you Azarde, your one of the most respected posters here! Like I said I don't mind people debating the validity of Christ, I too think of this at times! But Not to belittle someone who millions around the world believes. That's all! The "profit" thing was just a bait not to disrespect Mohammed, who I respect, along with other religeous figures. :)

Sadly, I was not meant to be writer as my wife tells me, & sometimes corrects me with my English grammer @ times ( the sad part she's only been here in the States for 6 yrs, & her English is better than alot of people here). I wasn't born in the States but lived here for over 30 yrs.

I wouldn't let Azadre get under your skin. He's obviously embarrassed by the shame that his "brothers" around the world have been heaping upon his religion, so he decides to fight back with an immature thread such as this one. In case you didn't know, the timesonline is of the same ilk as The Guardian or any other America-hating source. Not worth getting worked up about, that's for sure.
