for those of us still clinging to the hope that BONZI can be our missing piece to the puzzle for a deep run in the playoffs, this is for you!

whether you lilke BONZI or not, he can help us maintain our offensive presence while tmac takes a breather in the playoffs. with the right lineup, he and tmac can be on the floor at the same time.

defense wins, but we have seen the rockets play great defense and not be able to score at the other end.

we have 17 games remaining guys. NOW is the time for bonzi to become a part of the rotation. otherwise our off-season triumph of signing BONZI is all for naught.

can he play defense enough to stay on the floor?

    are the injuries over?

will JVG give him a legitimate shot?

will BONZI's presence have an impact on the rockets playoff run?

I do think we'll need Bonzi in the playoffs but at this point I don't know if he'll get there. I think him not taking the preseason seriously and not getting in shape started a domino effect of injuries and lackluster performances. Its like cramming the night before the test but you haven't opened the book or been to class.

    Wells says he's ready

Bonzi Wells missed his eighth consecutive game with a "sore right foot" on Wednesday. But Wells said he is healthy and ready to play.

"My foot's been good for about 10 days now," Wells said. "It's up to coach whenever he gives me the nod.

"I'm just working out, trying to get ready so whenever he gives me the nod, I'll be ready to go."

Wells has played in 26 games this season, never more than nine without going out with a variety of ailments. He has played only two games with Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming. The Rockets are 12-14 in the games he has played.

"We're just nursing that situation along," Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "When he's ready, he's ready. It's not something right now that is a huge concern."

Yeah, looks like Bonzi is not in JVG's plan.

I hope he plays in the rotation again. He can create his own shot and he rebounds when he feels like it.

The only problem is the glut at the 2/3 with TMac, Shane, Luther, Kirk and Bonzi.

Kirk gives us athleticism but Bonzi gives us more scoring.

I hope that (but don't see) both getting decent minutes

But yeah, I think we need his offense and would like to see him out there with Yao.

Also, he needs to get into DECENT shape

When the coach see him as fit to play I'm sure he will play. Our record with Bonzi on the court is sub .500 ball, not very impressive.

I am sure that JVG knows more about how to manage these uber egos then any of us can dream of. He will do what he feels is best for the team, even if that is not playing Bonzi.

More lies by JVG I see. Bonzi has been ready for 10 days now, but JVG says he isn't ready. We need Bonzi!!!

I'm sick and tired of the Bonzi mess. I wouldn't be sad if he just left the team.

Bonzi on the Rockets has become a joke.

Guys lets forget about him and move on. JVG doesn't like him and he doesn't fit this team as much as some of us don't want to accept it.

I don't think he makes that much of a difference from the games I've seen he's played. We don't all of a sudden become a great team when he's in there. He adds depth, but not a difference maker.

he's more of a defensive liability when he's in the game. Every time he goes in i see his man scoring. It doesn't even matter how many points he scores, if he lets his man score jsut as many, that just gives them confidence that they can score against the rockets.
