There are leading indicators, and ther are lagging / confirming indicators.

For this 2024 POTUS race, effectively, Fox News has become the latter.

the turning point on 25 Jan 2024,

when Fox Business Channel personality, Larry Ludlow, a former official in the Trump White House and consistent dispenser of grim economic predictions during President Biden’s term,
went on Fox’s “America Reports” telecast and acknowledged that the Biden economy was, you know, good.

That day, government figures had been released showing a 3.3% annual increase in the gross domestic product for the fourth quarter of 2023, on top of a 4.9% growth rate for the third quarter.

Candidly, Kudlow stated, “It was a good quarter, don’t get me wrong, and the last quarter was
a good quarter, 4.9.” Biden, he said, “gets his due. If I were he, I’d be out slinging that hash too,
no problem.” Asked by the host if this meant that the economy was not as bad as
he had been saying, he answered, “I would say, probably, I would agree.”

if the bad-economy camp has lost even Larry Kudlow, they’re on the wrong side of the argument.

Sentiment may now finally be shifting. In January, the University of Michigan saw the largest two-month jump in its consumer sentiment index since the end of the Gulf War in 1991.
News coverage, which throughout 2023 relentlessly forecast a recession, now touts the prospect of a “soft landing” — that is, a successful battle against inflation without an increase
in the unemployment rate or a general economic slowdown.

on 20 June 2024, according to a new Fox News national survey.

“President Biden is the frontrunner in a hypothetical matchup against former President Trump
for the first time since October, as positive views of the economy inch up — hitting their highest level
thus far in the Biden presidency,”

“Since May, there was a 3-point change in the presidential race. Trump was ahead by 1 point last month,
while Biden is up by 2 points today: 50% to 48%.“

    For the first time in forever . . . . .

Honestly as someone that prefers Trump we shall see - 2 points up can be gone very quickly either way it's going to be a close race to the end and a very interesting one at that.

Don't you have a child that's going go to college? You support the guy that wants to eliminate the education department which will lead to eliminations of Pell grants and other financial aid.

    Utter clueless

It is easy and justifiable to have complaints about Biden, whether it’s because of the two wars, inflation, his age, etc.

But, as we get closer to November, reality sets in and the choice between Biden, Trump and staying home is much clearer and easier. I think the polling will continue to reflect that onset of reality.

I mean ya, there really is no option here. Biden has to win and that's a sad state of affairs that it has restored to this.

And I'm pretty sure the establishment wing of the Democratic party absolutely love it. It's so much easier to be a politician in a two party system where the opposing party is putting out unhinged clown show fascists. No need to actually discuss long term policy agendas. Just point to the fact that if they lose, unhinged clown show fascists run the government.
