This morning the Ticket in Dallas reported that Ming is unavailable to us until December and that the Rockets are going to pass on him.

Anyone know if this is true?

I know what is true, Dallas sucks. I seriously doubt that a local Dallas station would beat the national news media, the Houston news media, and the posters on the bbs to a scoop, especially since this has nothing to do with Dallas. It's a lot more likely that this station misconstrued the wire report that everyone else has seen.

Dallas (closely followed by Chicago) is the center of misinformation.

I have no idea if it's intentional, but this statement just takes the cake as far as how misleading it is. There are a lot of things we don't know yet, but one thing we DO KNOW is that if Yao Ming comes to the NBA, he will be here in October. Period. Everyone in China has signed off on the idea.

Oh, and one more thing we do know... the Rockets have no intention on passing on Ming, *if* the decision he comes to the NBA is made soon.

I just read in the Beeville Bee-Picayune that in the last two months, Ming has grown an additional 3 inches, and has put on 70 pounds of pure muscle.

Strangely, it mentioned that his arms have grown longer too....and when standing up with his back straight, he can almost touch his knees with his fingers.

    amazing stuff.

The Dhaka Morning News reported that Ming is 8 feet tall, kills men by the hundreds, and strike lightning bolts from his arms.

The Toronto paper reported that Hakeem has discovered a youth potion and is now thirty-one years old again. Still angry at his use in Toronto has worked out a trade to come back to Houston, so the Rockets won't be drafting Ming after all.:D

    Smoothie,

It was all in the smilie. Had you put in a standard smilie, like this :D , I would have picked up on it.

But when you put in  , it makes it seem like a legit criticism.

So let's use the right smilie for the right occassion. OK? ;)

Good point. I'll try and stick to text. I'm just curious as to how that press conference went this morning in Houston. Haven't seen anything posted yet about Ming's status.
