<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/g-RLXkp-ucE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> i expect some of this during the reg season.
yup. although i still do not fully believe in mchale's coaching abilities, i do know what he was as a player. and i'm sure he will instill those qualities in our players, and we already have quite a few of them already. maybe instead of seeing a layup line towards our basket, we'll see 2-3 hard fouls that will make our opponents hesitate.
The thing that I look forward to is the unpredictability. It's not titles unfortunately but its something. When you've had a coach for a couple years, whether its JVG or Adelman, you more or less know what you're getting. For them we had a high ceiling as a roster. Now, its like watching the Astros but more fun bc of the prospects. I'm excited to see how T-Will and Thabeet turn out.
That was a great marketing campaign for the NBA. A helluva lot better than the NBA Jam Big Head Mode they had going on this year.
I'm looking forward to Kevin Mchale as our new coach. He's not going to be the one creating the plays for our team, instead he's there to be a vocal leader, someone to teach them the fundamentals of how to be a competitor and play basketball hard and tough. Morey is putting the "nerds" of play calling and defensive schemes around Mchale thru his assistants. Guys like Finch will be the ones doing the traditional coaching, while Mchale will be there to be a mentor in a sense. I like this new idea and we'll see very soon how well this works.
A 7'1 shoved a 5'9 dude while he was in mid-air. JJB was lucky not to come out with any major injuries.
I look forward to him having that disheveled, end of day "I'm need a drink" look at the end of games. I could have sworn he was drunk on the sidelines of the rookie game this past year.
espn once had a show where they had some nba greats like chuck, Isiah, reggie, magic, mchale etc, and the had to pick their top 15 players (i think it was 15) Everyone picked a variety of players from different teams, only McHale picked all Celtics for his 1st, 2nd and reserve team. I applaud his loyalty, but this is the same guy who traded kg to celtics for practically nothing. Do you think if we ever got in a close game with the celtics, or we meet in the finals, or the game is a must win for the celtics- Who the hell do you think your head coach will be rooting against cos im sure it wont be the celtics
