Does anybody think that maybe Terrance Williams isn't playing because Morey is getting ready to trade him? Maybe yesterday was a showcase of Patterson and Bud and we might be packaging all 3 of these young talented players together for that superstar we covet. Or maybe he just hasnt caught up to the system yet idk but its been awhile and you can't tell me that Rick couldnt atleast put him out there for garbage time. If he's this really talented athletic player that the say he is he should be on the court right? On a side note: Do you guys think a package of Williams, Patterson, Bud, Brooks and the Knicks pick and the TE would be enough to get Melo and Birdman?
He hasn't played because when he was first traded he didn't get a chance to practice with the team. Ever since he had a few practices, Bud has started to play better. Also, that package will not get you a super star. For starters, salaries are not close to matching.
He's not playing because it takes a while to learn the PG position and Brooks just came back, so they are giving Brooks major minutes to up his trade value.
Why is every PT decision is about showcasing? I think this board is too obsessed with trading players. He is not playing because he is the third stringer in the depth chart. Third stingers only play in garbage time or when the first or second guy in your position is injured. Ask Patterson. Ask Ish.
We just have to many good players to put him in rotation. I think he has the potential to be better than all 4 players thats in the SG-SF rotation right now
Well for anybody that says he isnt playing because of practice time...Does anybody know how he's looking in practice or has somebody like feigin seen him practice and has an update on him??
Spending some time down in the D-league really seems to have helped Patrick Patterson. Perhaps a month or so with the Vipers would help Terrance Williams to really learn the Rockets system as well. The upcoming nine game stretch for the Rockets is going to be brutal for the Rockets, as all nine of these opponents have records over .500. So Williams is not likely to see much time on the court, if any. Really, now is the time. The Rockets should send Williams down and bring him back in February sometime.
We wont know unless he plays...and the way Battier has been playing as of late (inconsistently) then I would say when we went up by 15 or 17 last night I would have put Williams in the game.
Of course he has so much to learn but the biggest problem is Bud is playing better than ever. If Bud keeps playing this way T-Will will stay on the pine. What it will probably take for him to get an opportunity is for Bud to start sucking again or an injury to Any one of the wings. Not to jinx anyone but it is a safe be one of Martin, Lee, Battier, or Budinger will go down with something before season's end and when that happens then he will get an opportunity. He better shine when that comes because if not Adelman will quickly move that rotation back to 3.
I know we dont know now but I said potential. If he gets the right mind set and works hard, skys the limit for him
Can't combine Williams with other players in a trade for 60 days after acquiring him. He can be dealt alone but not in a package for 1 player... But your assumption is wrong. He needs to prove himself in practice and will have to earn his playing time.
Idk I think I'd rather have him practicing with the team and developing some kind of chemistry with the 2nd unit. Because its not like his talent isnt there or that he needs much developing. From what I'm told everything is there he just needs to learn the system. And what better way to learn the system then practicing with the team.
