The Rox used to win by defense...what happened?? I think it's time to put Chuck Hayes in the lineup. Put Chuck and Artest in the lineups. Take Tmac out and make him come off the bench. Tmac and Yao JUST don't FIT!! Look at how many shots he took away from Yao tonight?? It shoots twice as much.

If you have Rafer, Battier, Artest, Chuck and Yao. This lineup is all defensive team lineup. Too bad Adelman don't have to gut to bench Tmac.

I think it's time to shuffle the lineup because it ain't working.

It's going to take more than just changing the lineup. They need more practice and RA needs to stress D way more than he is right now.

Surprising statistic...the Rockets were 4th in the league at points against per 100 possessions and happens to be best in the Western Conference.

course this game will probably massacre that stat a little bit

    but food for thought

We need an athletic big who can play situational backup 4 and 5 who brings shotblocking and finishing at the rim. Deke is not what we need. Bring in Warrick please!

haha what a joke, you put chuck + artest in, the final box score will be under 50 points for the entire team. CMON get serious. T-Mac was the best offensively tonight.

While we're at it, might as well bring in Dwight Howard.

I do miss JVG. Yeah I know, I wanted himn out, I blamed him. I feel sorry now.

Because at least under JVG we used to win games with DEFENSE. This year we don't play defense AT ALL and offense is pathetic as well...

But of course, it is not all on Rick. Everybody sucks. I am tired of watching those loosers...McGrady? Yao? Ron? hahaha

    But please, bring back JVG!

i just don't see them giving the effort consistently, squaring up and containing your man is about concentration and effort.

right now rockets priemieter players (especially t-mac) get broken down wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too easily. yao isn't a great shot blocker, can't bail them out every time.

tonight is the best example of we giving up too much penetration, allowing memphis to play a great inside-outside games, shot 50+% and murdered us.

It's Adelman's fault for not stressing defense.

The team is lazy. That is why they don't play with any sense of urgency, direction, or swagger.

That 22 game win streak was fools gold because it was born out of desperation.

Unless the Rockets have a real good reason to win they won't. That's why they usually rebound after losses like this time after time after time.

When we all wanted JVG out it was because we didn't have any talent outside of Yao and Mcgrady and it was obvious the team wasn't going to get any better.

Now we have the talent but not the motivation. So is it Rick's fault that he would have to yell at the players to get them to pay attention when they play crappy teams or the player's faults for not being professional enough to not need to be yelled at?

Unless were going to score 100+ points every night we need to get the defense in order.
Its sickening me to watch such lack luster defense.

We've been talking about this on the radio the past few weeks... without defense, the Rockets are toast. End of story. Why? Look at their guards! Tracy McGrady and Rafer Alston take a large quantity of shots, are both under 40%, have been for a long time, and quite possibly are the worst shooting starting backcourt in the league.

Throw in Artest under 40% and the pressure on your defense is very high.

It's not opinion. It's not bias. It's math.

Our starters are actually not that bad, but our bench was outscored 16-32, and our defense really sucked, did you see when Deke was on the court, how he plays defense, I think Yao really have to learn something from that.

Our defense make the Grizzlies like an elite team.
Everyone in Grizzlies seems like the super star.
Really hate to watch the Rox game every time like this! Disgusting!
