    TE = trade exception

    We got it when we traded Glen Rice to Utah for John Amaechi. Since Rice's salary is much higher than Amaechi's we got a trade exception that we can use in future trades.

    okay, that obviosly makes more sense, some guy confused me on the Matt Jackson post takling about Taylor and I wasn't aware that you could trade the TE.

    tradeable, can take up to 6.9 million in salary back when sending it by itself or with draft picks to another team. expires on sept 30th i believe.

    One thing that was cleared up recently by someone (don't remember who), was that the TE cannot be added to a trade to make salaries match.

    i.e. if Player2 makes 6.9 million more than Player1, you can't trade Player1+TE for Player2.
