According to my prediction, the Suns will be 2.5 games ahead of us by March 27th. They will have a very easy six game stretch hosting Toronto, Utah, Washington and Seattle, and 2 away games at Dallas and Memphis. They will likely to go 5-1, with only loss to Dallas.

On the other side, we will have a brutal road trip, and immediately afterward, we will have to host two consecutive games against the Spurs and Lakers. I predict we will go 2-3 on that trip, then lose to both Spurs and Lakers. That's 2-5, which leaves us 2.5 games behind the Suns. By this time, I am pretty sure there will be plenty of people here on the CC.net crying goodbye to the playoffs. DON'T!!!

After this seven difficult games, we will have a very easy cruise to the end of the season. The only tough games are at NJ, Phily and Utah. on the other hand, the Suns will get killed by their last 11 games. The only easy games for them are Denver(twice) and GS. By the end of the season, we will be up 2.5 games on the Suns. The playoff is our ultimately. SO, DON'T CRY WHEN WE ARE DOWN, IT'S JUST TEMPORARY!

The Rox beat good teams easily. It's the bad teams that hurt the Rox most. This's why once in the playoff, the Rox will win it all. ;)

Playing Utah and Washington at home is definitely not a walk in the park. However, if they do beat Utah, thats good news for the Rockets too. Out of those 4 games at home, they will win 3 and lose 1.

Then, they go on the road to Dallas and Memphis. Dallas will win that game for sure. Memphis is playing really well now and Phoenix sucks on the road. I wouldnt be shocked if the Grizz won that game.

The suns, at best will probably go 4-2. There is a chance that they could easily go 3-3.

I hope the Suns do replace us in the 8th spot.

And the Rockets replace the Jazz in the 7th spot.

Then we'll see where your true loyalties lie.

There is still a chance that Utah doesnt make the playoffs. Boy wouldnt that be lovely.

Although if they do make the playoffs it would be nice if they played Dallas or Sac.

Utah gets screwed no matter what they do.

Toronto, Utah, Washington, and Seattle are easy? I don't think so....

What is the Suns' record against crappy teams? I'm sure they've lost to some teams that don't have a better record than them.....at least once.....like Golden State.

Toronto could beat them. Utah could beat them. Washington could beat them. Seattle could beat them. Dallas COULD lose. I think they will go 3-2. :)

Anyways.....their schedule is much easier than ours. So yeah. I think they will regain the 8th spot......unless Utah drops out!!!!! WHOOOOO. Or Lakers. :)

Rockets are technically two games up on the Suns right now, since they can't tie us, so that's an enormous advantage in our favor. The Suns have a tendency to do bad against the lesser teams in the NBA (Sound like a certain team we all root for?), but are known for stepping up against teams .500 . In saying that, the Suns are a team to be worried about, but right now I'm more about thinking positively. Utah is right within our grasps, and the fact that we play them once more before the seasons end is a good positive for us considering we could very well be a 7th seed. I think we'll do just fine on the road trip as long as we carry our momentum from that win streak with us. While this sounds cliche and is commong sense, the key is not to lose, and to keep riding that momentum of the win streak, especially considering the schedule gradually gets tougher game by game. The more confidence this team has in itself the better, because they'll be more likely to step up against the tougher teams.

Just to clarify my last post, I think that the Rockets will make the playoffs. I just think that the team will suffer one more "low" before reaching the "high," at the end of the roller coaster season.

I don't think this idiot even finish reading my post. Here is my pleading --- would you please please PLEASE use your brain a little before those dirty words come out of your hole? You know, the waste of brain power is the greatest waste on earth. Although you probably don't have much brain, still, try hard to use it when you can. It shouldn't be that hard.

:( Feel bad for you... a brainless loser. :(

The rockets usually show up to the competition when they are playing a decent team.

I hope they continue to stand up to the competition as they do with .500+ teams. Go rocks.

Phoenix is already losing to Toronto; so, there is no guaranteed easy games. In any case, as long as Rocket is taking care of its games, we should be fine. I would love to see both Rocket and Sun in the playoff - 7th and 8th seed.

    :D :D :D

While this poster gives great analysis on how it sees the upcoming games the Rockets and the Suns have for the rest of their season, I don't see Utah, Seattle or even tonight's game at home a walk in the park. While they could go 5-1, there's a real possibility that they only go 3-3. Meanwhile on the Rockets' side, the only "sure loss" on this 5 game road-trip is at Sacramento. I do think there's a pretty good chance that we split the games on Tuesday and Wednesday and if we lose tomorrow, the Rockets traditionally do well on the second game of back-to-backs and their record is a sparkling 8-3 when they play on Wednesdays. The Sonics loss to the Warriors on their floor a few nights ago. I'm predicting 3-2 on this road trip and then with us winning against the Lakers and losing to the Spurs. That keeps us about a game up on the suns. The Lakers have to play the Kings on Thursday and the Spurs on Sunday and we have the tie-breaker over them.
