What is your understanding now of the make-up of those we are fighting in Iraq?

Of which and how many nationalities is this loose army comprised of?

While we kill them; they kill many Iraqis and a few of our soldiers every few days.

Why is there both an intra-Iraq and extra-Iraq clamor for only the US-led coalition to leave Iraq? What about these buggers? Who is embracing them and why?

The way I understand it, some are ex-Baathists upset about Saddam being deposed, some are Shiites who feel that the person they want to represent them will be excluded (al Sadr), and others are just Iraqis who are upset with being occupied by a foreign power.

I haven't seen any evidence of extra-nationals, just Iraqis who are upset about being occupied.

They are being embraced by other Iraqis, or so say the (admittedly unreliable) polls.

What happened to the Fedayen (SP?) who were pouring in at one point? Did they leave when the heavy fighting ceased?
