I dont know what to say about this guy but last night he did it again and i dont know why why would this guy be doing this? it makes no sense why is he mad and at what does anyone have any theories on this??
Last night on CNN they said that an expert, some guy who was an original member of the Delta Force, is positive that there are two gunmen working together. It seems to me these guys are pros, so they could be former military, former police, or hunters. My theory is that they are hunters who felt it was time to go after human game. Since the police are no where near to catching them, they feel invincible and are going to continue. Since they just set up and shoot whoever walks into their sight line, my guess is that these guys are thrill killers.
That could be true, but there are so many different possibilities. It could be a terrorist, a lunatic, or a former military member.
I think it's a mass of far left-wing anti-hunters trying to make a statement about why they think hunting is wrong.
I think it just goes to show that the republicans aren't serious about homeland security. They probably don't even care about the deaths of these poor victims. They either agree with me on the issue of gun control, or they're as guilty of these deaths as are the sniper(s).
Okay. I'll bite. What is your stance on gun control? Because a simple little law is not going to prevent this guy from killing. He's already okay with breaking the the law (he has murdered several people), what makes you think he wouldn't break a gun law? Or just buy a gun on the street? Are gun laws supposed to make it difficult to get guns? Drug laws don't prevent people from getting drugs. Anti-bomb laws don't prevent people from blowing up buildings. I hear all these people say they want gun control but I still haven't heard of how these laws are going to make the country safer. I'm really curious.
What baffles me is how a whole community and police force can't get these guys. The white van theory has to be BS because there is no way that a white van can go anywhere around that area without every single person starring at it the entire time. The police are looking very incompetent right now.
What I don't get is this quote from Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose: "Call us at the number you provided". I.... err... wait. If I give you my number, I expect you to call me. I ask women for their phone numbers all the time. OK, some of the time. Occasionally. Anyway, after I get the phone number, it is generally understood that I will be the one dialing it (assuming she hasn't scrawled down a 555 number). How is the killer supposed to call his own number? Is this some sort of dial-in conference call?
111chase111, I don't really know what I believe about gun control, I just thought that it would be funny to say really stupid, really inflammatory things. BrianKagy, I'm curious about this too... do you think he gave the police the phone number at a telephone booth or something? For him to call them at an appointed time? The guy is a murderer, so you have to assume that he might try to kill someone at the designated spot... or try to divert the police by having them be 50 miles away from a different spot (it'd be insane for there not to be 1000 cops in a half mile radius of whatever destination phone number he gave).
Yeah, my only guess is he put a number down and asked if this is the number where he can contact the police. That's all I could think of. I don't think he'd be stupid enough to give them his own number, because that would lead police right to him.
For cyrin' out loud. Give this man a raise! http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?g=events/ts/100302maryland&a=&tmpl=sl&ns=&l=&e=1&t=
Everybody discards the notion that this could be terrorist, as in Al Qaida terrorist, related because: 1. They have never done this before. 2. They never isolate victims. 3. It too resembles the patterns of a psychopath. Until I have irrefutable contrary proof, I will continue to believe it is a concerted effort by a small cell of Radical Islamic Nutbags. I believe this because I keep in mind that the terrorists are people. They watch the news. They study fear. They know that we have studied the historical data on how they operate and would be stupid to repeat actions that we are actively defending against. The sad thing is it is working. I live in Houston and I have actually do a quick look at my surroundings a lot more often now. And I am terrified of either copycats or other cells starting doing this crap. chance PS: 1. They had never flown planes into buildings before. 2. Taken as a whole the are not isolating victims. The whole community is scared. the community is the victim as well. 3. Don't all of their actions have psychopathic resembles?
I don't know...maybe it was just something to throw the police off, but that "I am God" message doesn't seem like something a devout Islamic terrorist would ever say. My guess is this person or persons are closer to a Timothy McVeigh, than a foreign terrorist or a psychopath, but those are all definitely possibilities. And I'm really starting to believe this whole "white van" business is a waste of time. All it does is give witnesses tunnel vision. When I pull into a gas station I look at ANY car that is parked to see if I spot anything suspicious before I start pumping gas.
I heard something about a man in a white van being arrested in Richmond this morning...not sure if it's the sniper. http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/South/10/21/sniper.shootings/index.html
Hope it was the guy. We'll see. My week away from DC was very relaxing. Now I'm right back in the mix of this crap again. They will catch this guy or girl. He's continuing to make mistakes by contacting the police. I think if he strikes during the day they will have him. Too much surveillance going on now. If he strikes at night that's another story.
Now it appears they have 2 men in custody. One who was inside the white minivan, and another who was "in the vicinity." It also sounds like the police are getting ready to respond to a letter that the sniper left at the scene of the last shooting.
