    I'M LOVING THIS SMALL LINEUP!!!

Is it just me, or are the Rockets actually executing better in the halfcourt offense with SA at the 3 than before? And the defense, even with no shot-blocker in the middle, hasn't really fallen off that much. They weren't playing great defense with the shot-blocker (Dream) anyhow.

I wonder, if the Rockets could add some shot-blocking and rebounding at the 4 via the draft/free agency/trade, could/would Mo be able to play the 5 on a consistent basis? He's got the size (6'9", 260-265) and strength to play most of the Cs in the league (remember, he's about the same size as both Zo and Ratliff) and has (slowly) begun to show a willingness to play defense. Yes, he would have PURE HELL with Shaq and some of the bigger Cs, but who doesn't have trouble with Shaq and Co.? Plus, he has the ability to pull them out on the floor with his jumper, put the ball on the floor and drive by them, and has a pretty solid jump hook that I'll like to see him shoot more.

I feel a whole lot more comfortable with Mo at the C than Cato, that's for sure. Mo has a better all-around game, and can at least catch a pass.

    Feel free to reply. [IMG]

John Thompson certainly agrees with you; see Clutch's "Recap".

You have to believe we beat Utah with something simple like Collier and Rogers being available to prevent Mo' and KT from fouling out.

Our two man game has certainly improved. I actually believe this is what is helping get Anderson open...the two man game vs ISOs. The two man game is helping Francis get into the middle where he has a passing threat to both sides of the court. Francis is really starting to take advantage of this. It's great to see him in the middle more than going baseline...although that baseline threat makes getting to the middle even easier.

I think this Team is above avg
When Collier and Los comes back.

They change the game considerably between them
    Los the Hustler/bustin his *ss
    for rebounds and put backs

Collier -the pick n roller with Range

    they both have energy.
[Anyone notice how f*ck Cato is EXPENDABLE!]

I have really been pleasantly surprised with the results of this three guard rotation and feel the Rockets should stick with it long term. It is really enabling Mobley to play more off the ball and allowing Shandon to find his niche in the offense. I would be quite happy if the Rockets just acquired a chiseled banger on the frontline, forget all this Rahim/Reeves stuff.
