Really impressed with Morey for keeping this kid. I thought he was just a 3pt shooter, but this kid is super athletic and he's had a ton of dunks ON people. Today on Darko, the other day on Chris Anderson. Makes Head very expendable. So maybe Head+first rounder for Josh Boone now? Bottom line, Von has worked his tail off.

agree, really impressive in the game, an athletic player who can slash and shoot off the bench, that's exactly what we need.

Now he is a combination of Strowberry and Wafer, offense and defense, good guy. Happy to see he stay in Rox. This game he did pretty well. Keeping up.

I was completely against bringing him in. He's proven me completely wrong so far. Glad to have him on board.

He's about on the same level as Luther defensively, except he's not short for his position.

you're right, he wouldn't get any playing time under JVG.

do you remember the wizards game on TV? he said the same about landry (good offensive talents, but lack defensive intelligence). so with JVG, landry might not play much under him lol.

but again, i think adelman needs to re-emphasize defense. get these guys to know what win games and we'll be fine.

this loss better slaps the team in the face and wake them up. and tell everybody to get healthy quick b/c we can't blow these gimme games. we need every win b/c a difference b/t a 1-5 seed last yr was 3-4 games.

I like Head's IQ, hes just too short and tentative. I am just giving Wafer a hard time I am liking what I see. Just wanna see his team defense improve before he earns a rotation spot on a healthy Rockets roster.

I was on the DJ Strawberry wagon myself and I still believe DJ is the MUCH more superior defensive player, but on nights where we are struggling to find points and need slashing, I' am glad we have Von. So refreshing to see a guy attacking relentlessly on this team.

Wafer is the only guy tonight to effectively take his man off the dribble and get into the paint when Yao was being fronted. The team needs to understand that when Yao is being fronted, the basketball isn't protected.

can shoot and take the ball to the hoop. team defense will cover his dificiencies on defense. i will say the same thing i said last year with landry, extend him and pay him his money. he should get a head like deal or maybe a little better 3 years 7 mil

He's better than Head. Not by much, but I think it's evident Luther is at the point-of-no-return in terms of our rotation.

Yup,it's a great wakeup call for our guys, but you think it's gonna work as usual?

We led the Pacers by 10 with 5 minutes left on the clock, then we were just outscored by a bunch of scrubs and lost by 1.WTF  Okay, they did rally past the Fakers by 1 at the buzzer,I don't think it should be an excuse for us losing that game,it should of been a W in the book. :(

Heaps of wake-up call games alike happened to our guys this season but it seems they get themselves adjusted to 'no-big-deal loss to the scrubs team',I can hardly take it any more.

One more question asked myself, are we really qualified to be a contender in the west?as of now,I don't see it.I hope I'm wrong about this. :(

T-mac missing games, Yao, Battier, Artest, Rafer, Barry. and we are a game behind the second best team.

We have played the second lowest home games of the west and one of the must back to back.

And we got a 10-6 vs the conference (counting the 1 point lost to Portland and the meltdown vs SA0

    vs the West.
    Portland 7-6
    Denver 9-6
    Dallas 7-5
    SA 9-5
    NO 9-4
    PX 8-6

Other than the Lakers when healthy we are the 2nd best team in my mind.

i duno, i hear ppl say luther plays good defense but i have yet to see it. even beyond his lack of size when defending the post, he has horrible lateral speed on the perimeter and doesn't stay in front of his guy. whenever he's in the game, i see more dribble penetration against him than against any other player on our roster. whenever he gets run into a pick, he jumps out to the side to force his his man the other way, but while hes doing that stupid jump his man blows past him and forces whoever's defending the paint to step up. if you pay attention you'll see that other teams always get luther involved in the pick and roll because he's horrible at fighting through the pick.
