I am as mad as anyone about the loss last night to Portland, but I am ecstatic at the play of Aaron Brooks.

He is a completely different player this year, and is playing with major league confidence.

His stroke is pure, his driving to the basket divine, the guy has just come around and is now a quality NBA player.

The offense runs so much better with him on the floor than Rafer...because teams have to honor his speed and actually guard him.

Good job Morey on bringing in Brooks, he is a keeper.

Brooks is so fast that he is almost impossible to contain off the dribble. he still has decision making issues, but his rapid improvement has taken almost all of us by suprise. the way he attacks the basket and scores at will is astonishing.

I am damn shocked. Aaron is a different player right now.

He made a big progress he has made and confidence. He is probably the most confident guy on this team. He is shootinh the ball with great lift, great elevation. But what is important too is that he makes the game better for his teammates. He is quick and finally he uses it.

I am curious how he will match up against Baron tonight. But I know one thing, MORE AARON!

Well I love the fact that he is slowly getting more PT, especially in the 4th period. I figure he will be the starting pg right before or after the all star break.

All he can do is stay in front of Baron, he's not going to stop him... He has to find a way to slow him down.

I seriously think we need to do some Isos with him

have 3 three point shooters out there

for example, battier, barry, tmac spread out on the thee point line...have Aaron Iso his defender, get a PF or whoever to come and set a pick...and Aaron can "put the speed on" to the bucket. If they collapse, he can pass to one of the three point shooters....

    yes I can dream

Tmac right now is one of the last people i want shooting threes. he is avveraging 23% from the 3pt line.

You are right, but I couldnt for the life of me think of another 3 point player on our team...oh almost forgot luther head..okay maybe head..but then we will be ultra undersized

It was a choice between Tmac and Ron and I went with TMac for the purpose of explaining that magnificent strategy...Adelman take note and credit me when its successful

Baron will post him up allday long. Aaron would have to try to beat baron off the dribble. hopefully get him into foul trouble.

Baron would post up any of our PGs........but at the same time, he won't be able to stay in front of AB...it would be a wash.

Thats my point. Aaron has to try to beat him off the dribble to either draw fouls on baron or just beat him straightout. he has to use his strength and thats his speed

I love this kid. Fastest PG in the NBA, I think he is faster than TJ Ford, amazing that he is able to stay under control when he is moving so fast. I expect he'll be getting most of the minutes at PG at the end of the season.

Once he learns to alter his gears a bit he will be even better.....

Sort of a "Go fast" then pull off the accelerator...and then "Go fast" again to get the D off balance.

I am happy that Adelman is letting him finish games.....

Aaron Brooks is a little lightning bolt beacon of light. He really is a joy to watch. Like you, the rollercoaster ride of last night's game left me feeling a bit (okay, more than a bit) dejected, but it is nice to see AB's game and how much it has improved.

He is one of the only two rockets who played better than expectation (the other one is TMac for whom I didn't expect him paly agrressive and well, my fault).

See I think Tmac played average....he played good on offense - though that shot late at the top of the key in a tie game was stupid, he should have drove the ball into the lane.

But his defense was putrid...Tmac is not playing even average D and it is no coincidence that the last 2 games have been lost because Tmac's man went off when he was guarding him.

Tmac and Brent Barry on D are .....awful.

I think AB will only get better. You can't move him to the starting line up. Not because other PG's will take advantage of him but because you need scoring off the bench. Landry, AB, Artest, and Barry is a damn good scoring bench.

Once Battier is back, I might start AB and Battier and move Alston and Artest to the bench....
