I got my tickets yesterday. My first Coogs basketball game ever! (Don't say that I'm a fairweather fan, I was working every night throughout college, now that I work a 9-5er, I finally have the chance to get out and support the program).

The Coogs will probably score more points than my Rockets did the last game I went to. Should be fun.

I hear the game is sold out. Luckily, I have an in. They're retiring Michael Young's number tonight, too. That should be really fun in front of the big crowd.

This has been a tough basketball season for me so far... the Cats are struggling, the Rockets are struggling, but looks like your Coogs are doing well.

I have been looking for info on the Houston team and it seems yall are pretty balanced. That McKiver kid shoot threes as well as it looks like he does?

The only team we have both played this year is Texas Southern. That was the only UK game this year I missed so I can't compare our performance to yalls.

    Anyway...

May the best team win (please god let it be UK please I beg of you!! Please!!)

Yeah. In fact, I sincerely doubt you'll see another team launch as many threes this year as you're going to see tonight. It's the "3-D" gameplan... 3s and D. That's how Houston plays.

Although Houston fans could care less, there may be some Texas A&M fans at the game who would like to beat Gillespie within inches of his life. Almost as bad as KY fans would like to, I'd imagine...

    I'll watch it.

The last time I remember UH basketball on Disney Sports TV was when they had Clyde "at coach," and they were playing Texas.

Well as long as he doesn't hit 7-8 in the second half... I think it will be okay. (for the record, that is what Vaden from UAB hit Saturday against us.. it was unreal)

I think most Kentucky fans are still blaming everything on Tubby at this point. Personally I am blaming it on injury and transition to a new coaching staff and style. We would be a completely different team with Jodie Meeks and Derrick Jasper on the floor night in and night out. Jodie is the sort of player who can do what Vaden did to us and go off at any time. Plus they are both really good defensively (of course I say that and Jodie will suit up tonight and look bad).

At this point we live or die by Crawford's shot. If he shoots poorly, or if Bradley shoots poorly, you might as well call it a game.

I just hope both teams play well so that the game is competitive. There is nothing worse than being on national television and seeing both your team and the other team playing like crap.

Billy Clyde should probably sign his contract asap with the way Kentucky's season is going. I've never seen a situation where a coach went so long without signing his deal.

Mitch Barnhart said at this point they consider the "memo" a contract. Since the lawyers couldn't agree on the "escape clause". There is a good article about it in USA today. I will see if I can find it.

Worried about this game ... our boys just finished their finals and haven't played in well over a week. Not exactly the kind of pickup game you'd like... hope they don't suffer an early letdown.

Yeah, why would a head coach want to leave A&M for one of the greatest programs in NCAA history?
