Packed to the rafters Hofheinz Pavilion (including yours truly) ESPN 2, Guy V honored at halftime, Cougar heroes in attendance.

Should be a lot of fun.

Arizona beat A&M and played Kansas tough on the road. No question the Coogs can play with these guys. Hopefully playing a team with a pulse in their last game has toughened em up a little after a to this point Tastee-Soft non conference schedule (sorry Kentucky fans).

I am gonna say UH 75- AZ 71

Don't forget Sumlin and the staff will probably make an appearance too.

Normally Arizona would eat y'all guys. But that arena is going to be insane tonight. Should be fun. Hakeem won't be there will he?

And on ESPN 2 at 2 pm. Hey Major, that's a mighty bold signature you have there...

I'll be shocked if that's the case. I hope I'm wrong.

I just sent a text to a buddy of mine at the game and asked if it was a sell out. His quote: "hell no". On tv it looks good compared to most home games where they put a tarp over the seats on both ends of the court. Sad when you think about it.

That was a real tough loss. That pretty much relegates us to the NIT, unless we do something crazy against Memphis.

I hope Tom Penders was ashamed when they were announcing Arizona's starting lineups and named 3 kids from Houston. Can't we get any local talent??????

Outclassed. If we can't hang with Arizona, we sure can't hang with Memphis.

    NIT championship here we come.

Penders is a good coach but all UH does it jack up threes. There half court is abysmal. Hire Josh Pastner as coach and you get the good Houston kids to stay home.

Yeah its easy for zona to recruit those Houston kids when the sneaker pimps kid is on the coaching staff.

Just got back, not to go sour grapes but the disparity in officiating was atrocious! McKiver and Nixon had to get mugged to get a foul call while Bagless gets 20 tries and makes 18. 33 points! He gets biggest F'N hemorrhoid award for the game! I mean we so much as breathed on this guy they were calling fouls EVERY TIME! I think that's more than the whole of UH. Obviously when UH makes their 3s they're a different team. Tough day for the Coogs! I know they wanted to win Guy V. :(

Nonetheless, the halftime ceremony with Guy V and all past basketball alumni he coached was a special moment. Guy V is a consummate professional and does the UH program and the City of Houston proud!

Bottom line, 'Cats made shots and UH was rusty from the field but it was a shame that PAC 10 officials called this game with extreme bias for Arizona.

Just my opinion ... I'm just saying. I hate when refs potentially dictate outcomes rather than letting players win the game! Otherwise Maj Mal, would have been likely right! I said 75-74 Coogs! Oh well ...

Hello! Just about everyone in the lineup was Houston/Galveston area. Can't get everyone just from Houston!

Lackluster effort. Shooting was ice cold. Only Nixon and Toney seemed to really show up. Only bright spot was seeing the old Coogs, and Cousin seems like he will be a presence on the glass when he gets in game shape.

Hatemavs is right the officiating was what you would expect on the road, perhaps worse. Certainly not what you would expect in your own gym.

It was not a full house, and there was a small U of A contingent who at times were louder than our guys.

I agree. Very disappointing performance overall. The effort was mostly there but, the poise they showed vs UK wasn't there. They rushed their shots and did not really pound the post like i expected. All that being said if 5 or 6 of those 3s don't go halfway down and rim out we're likely singing a different tune.
