is this: If the ratio of your 3pt fg% to your 2pt fg% is greater than 2:3, then just feel free to take open 3pt shots whenever you got a chance!!!

Well, that's probably just part of their secret.

I hope tonight's game quells the Nash for MVP talk. He has 10 points and 9 assists, but an MVP doesn't give up 21 points on the defensive end to Jason Williams

but an mvp does make everything go and have a +/- of 15 during the regular season, one of the highest in the league. and losing an mvp makes your team play poorly while you play .800 ball when he plays.

it's not like shaq's 22.9 and 10.6 is eye popping. he doesn't even have the best stats on his team and doesn't take over the games late like mvp's are supposed to do.

Maybe I'm just a homer, but this game doesn't seem 1/3 as intense as the Rockets/Mavs series.

yeah i can't tell if it's just because this is just another game while i actually care about the rockets/mavs winner a lot, but this does seem less intense. maybe it's just because the talent on the floor for our games is so much higher b/c memphis doesn't really bring the individal names and talent the way our two teams or the suns do. i mean every time dirk or tmac or amare get the ball it's huge and something big could happen. not the same thing when pau gasol or james posey gets it.

how do officials screw it up so often? that was very obviously not a flagrant foul on amare there and yet they call it. he got pump faked in the air so of course landing on him caused a lot of contact.

You see what Gasol did to Suns in this game, really make you wonder what kind of damage Yao can do to the Suns.

The referees are trying to let Memphis win this one to make this series interesting. But I'm happy to see Memphis win too.

    Pau Gasol is playing well.

If Rockets meet Phoenix, key will be...

    1) Pressuring Nash all the time, which MJ can do.

    2) Rendering Marion ineffective which Tmac can do (If he can control Dirk, I dont think marion should be too much of a problem)

    3) Yao playing Amare straight up (which he has been very successful at)

If Rox can do these things consistently, they will move on.

Posey missed the big shot, but not by much.

where is nash's shot? he's had 3 very good looks on 3's and only been close on one. normally he is money on those open looks for 3.

the problem with marion is they don't really run anything through him, he just creates so much havoc roaming around and slashing and using his speed and athleticism. with dirk, he gets the ball and tmac can guard him and negate him with his quickness. with marion you've gotta play so much help D on everyone else that he just kills you when you can't pay attention to him with tip ins and drives. marion is hell to match up with.

but it's good that yao has been amare's kryptonite so far in their careers. of course we have to get to the 2nd round first.

With DWes on QRich and Bowen playing JJ but fading in to help on Amare, we have the winning combination.

Where is Stromile Swift? Is he on the DL?

Not watching the game, but according to the box score and pbp, it seems like Pau played very well, expect for the fact that he had his hands all over his throat for the last few minutes.

I see your point on David on Q but Bowen on JJ and fading on help on Amare would mean an open look for JJ... If I:m wrong my apologies but JJ can hit those all day. I`d say let Yao and Deke hammer Amare and wear his punk a$$ out.

Amare and Yao both playing great playoff basketball. Should be a great 2nd round if Houston and Pnx make. Yao vs Amare would be a huge seller.

Perhaps...but it will be Tmac who will own the show.
