Where did they come from and why are they still around? Why did NBA players bring a fashion statement in the game that is more suitable for tennis? They just don't look right. Hopefully they're just a fad like the WNBA and will disappear in a few years. I'd hate to see players looking back on highlight film and find themselves wondering what they were thinking. I don't know which is worse the bands or those thigh high junior high shorts they used to wear. Scary. ------------------ the best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be.
So does it have to always be about fashion? Is there a better way to keep the sweat from running down your face? I don't mind the headbands but i am glad that MJ made the baggy shorts popular. ------------------
Oh yeah, that's why they wear the bands, the sweat. How did great players like M.J. and Magic even compete without head bands? Are you serious, it's all about the fashion. What a joke. ------------------ the best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be.
Actually it was Michigan's "Fab Five" that made baggy shorts popular. MJ was still wearing the butthuggers like everyone else 'til they showed up. ------------------ The season's over, but the 'Stros have started. Guess I'm still gonna be nursing that keg...
Nothing wrong with wearing head bands... Whole team wearing head bands is very crowd pleasing. I am happy to see that these younger guys are brining their fashion statement to the court. I am also glad to see Moochie & Porters' froz.. And why do you think headband is ugly??? As long as the right person wears it, i have no problem with it. Just imagine Patrick Ewing with one... or Ostertag with one... scary.. ------------------
Not true. Jordan was wearing baggy shorts in the 80s. He made it popular for everybody to wear them, not just basketball players. Same with the bald look. He's definitely one of the most influential people in the history of the world.
